Get in fast and stay low. If you have a sideline coach, listen to him. If not, listen for what your back guy is telling you. When you are in snake, don't try and talk. Just listen. Your shots should be fast. You basically pop up, put a burst onto someone and if they start shooting back, get down, if they don't adn no one shoots at you, keep it on them and allow one of your guys to make a move. Playing snake is also about drawing fire, so see if you can get 2-3 guns up on you. This will allow your teammates to move into better positions.

I would suggest watching higher ranked teams and how their snake guy plays. This will give you a good idea on what to do and what mistakes people can make.

Remember your shots, if your in s1 which doritos can you shoot? Back left? what if your in s2? etc... I hardly look inside until 50 or their side. You will scare the crap out of them & then as mentioned above when people know your there it will draw guns. also learn how to dive really well & get good cleats

Get in fast and clean. Move aggresively when you can. Do a ton of snap shooting drills. And probably even more important than anything else. Watch other snake players play, learn what they do and how they do it. Also ask questions around a field. If you see a guy who is dominating the snake everytime he plays. Simply ask him for some tips. Maybe he/she can bring you out on the field and teach you a few things.

work the snake move back and fourth if you have to and pop up and different parts of the snake. dont go to high when snapping up because when your going down if your too high theres more of a chance that paint will hit you. know what you can shoot by walking the field before the tourney so if you say slide into s1, know that you can shoot d2 and d3 and home. look at my link below, it is thomas taylor of XSV giving tips on how to play snake.

look for lanes going over you when your crawling in the snake so you have a good idea of were your opponents are befour you come up.

If you have a sideline coach that knows what he/she is talking about, all you have to worry about it getting in the snake. Sometimes you can dive right in, other times you have to battle your way in as in some layouts it's easy to lane the snake (which I am seeing more of).
Once you make it in, listen to your coach.

If you KNOW you cant get in snake without getting shot to sh** pause up at whatever is bunker is closest put your man in and get in the snake.

Worry about shooting acrossfield most of the time if your insert is in he/she will be shooting tape well should be anyway...

just run hard and low. a good slide and quick transition to a crawl will get you into your spot as fast as possible. let your back player play your tape and like what was said before, dont worry about talking as much as listening. a good field walk will help you decide where your lanes are over the snake so you can make all your shots count rather than wasting shots hitting no where near anyone. play aggressive but play calm and smart. confusing i know but snake is not only a major advantage for you to get kills but also is a huge positional advantage. opposing teams will change their entire game plans due to you in the snake. so like i said, play safe and smart. doing this will keep you alive and able to make those multiple g's that a snake player should get every game

All good info here for ya. One thing that has not been mentioned though...PATIENCE

Yes you should play aggressive when you can. You see the lane on you stop, quick check, bump up. When you bump, give it a few seconds and listen to hear if they saw you bump or know you're further up. If they did, wait. You can sometimes be the game breaker without even shooting anyone. Just knowing you're in, say s3, can disorient the opponent enough that your d side can move up and get kills. You're more valuable alive doing nothing than being dead. Also hanging low makes them guess/forget about you. If you haven't popped out for a shot in say 10 seconds, they may start to wonder if you're still there, at which point they may start asking for communication on it. In that split second your team has an opportunity.

Know the layout and know how the snake contributes. Recently there's a lot of unconventional snake layouts. Know how to move up it, who's help you need (its not always your corner), and make a plan with your team to know what they need to do when you're in certain positions. Further you are up the snake, more chance they have guns on you, more chance D side can crush. Further back you are, more guns need to help you move.

Practice, stay alive (once in), and don't sweat getting shot out off the break. If the field allows an easy insert, sprint off the break. If it's too open, try to delay and get in when you can. Have fun!

when going to snake either haul crazy fast and slide low (super man) or a double knee slide shooting keep your body low play tight, when moving use your inside hand and your tape side footwhile holding your gun up to shoot down tape, (vid by planet ecplise on youtube great vid) be quiet in the snake try to play mind games with people try to play the entire snake. and number 1 tip, shoot through cracks so you can hit people that can't hit you back! good luck
