YES! I was waiting for an SLP user to pop up! Good to hear! I'm sure being 150 psi lower than a normal tank is a big difference. Any problems if you switch it to uncapped at 18 dwell?.... not that it matters just curious.

No, I got all brand new equipment.....or was supposed to but as long as it works I'll be fine.

Not at all. Because it's the ball reg, it's still hard to activate.

Two short animations of the movement of the pin onte the regulator. These are however not correct.
The positioning of the regulator is just estimated as is the distance from the center of rotation to the outside of the guide for the pin. If someone has the possibilities to meassure the distances it would be great.
Press the pin in with a finger when the ASA is off, turn the ASA on, how far does the pin extrude from the guide? If possible, when the regulator is screwed into the ASA, how far does it thread into the ASA and what is the dimension from the regulator to the pin guide.

I would think that the major issue is the poor tolerance between the pin and the guide for the pin. Also the part on the pin that has the smaller diameter is probably slightly wrongly placed on the pin. If you hold the parts, the pin and the guide with your fingers and presses the pin in the same angle as the center forces (presses onto) the pin, in an radius movement as the excenter would press the pin into the guide, it doesn't move smoothly. The pin tilts too much and gets stuck in the guide. The smaller diameter on the pin makes the pin have the possibility to tilt, when it does, it locks up in the guide. This does not happen when using a regulator with a "no ball" design because the force needed is less.

Took my Ninja tank with the V2 (not pro) out today without any shims in it and still couldn't get the ASA to turn on with the bottle installed. Had to turn the ASA on and install the bottle. Guess I'm gonna have to have it looked at...

Taking all the shims out of the pro v2 solved my issue. Played all day yesterday without the shims and the ASA was easy to turn on and off. Gun also shot very well with all the shims out. Glad you guys created this thread!

The pin took money to manufacture. The ball set up is much cheaper but they sold the hell out of them at a higher price. It's a piss poor design and should have never been released.

We are currently making a video going over this and showing the activation with the DM's and the GSL. We have multiple employees here who shoot DM's and myself shooting a GSL without any issues with the ASA and PRO V2 ball style regs. We are going to go over the pressure adjustment and activation in the video.

maybe you should test multiple markers instead of just employee markers??? the v2 slp doesnt work on my gen 2 marq. had to take that stupid ball bearing and spring out of the reg in order for it to work. then i just replaced the bonnet with the v1, pin and spring. as of june 2020, this reg doesnt work with EVERY paintball gun.

They know now...
Their new tank Regulators are supposedly using the Pin valve again.

The pin was = to zero dollars to produce, same with the ball.
It wasn't a cost saving measure, it was a sealing reliability measure. 90% of regulator complaints come from the pin valve leaking air out slowly overtime. The ball reduced that issue significantly by allowing more surface area for the air in the tank to push against, letting the ball seal better than the pin ever could.
The consequence is that the on/off ASA's had mixed ability to push the ball open because of the extra force. Woops, bummer.
These guys don't screw around but you can imagine how reluctant a manufacturer is to take a step backward for more universal compatibility when the ball was such an exciting idea.
