Hey bushwood, I built a pressure tester out of the parts I ordered, but with the HPR all the way out, its at about 210 psi. Not sure how you got yours down to 200

Are you running original bolt or new bolt? Original bolt run around 205-210 so you will be fine at 210. However if you want to bring it down a little just unscrew the reg cap about a 1/4 turn and then you will be able to bring the reg adjustment screw out a little more..

I just recieved my zodiac zr1.... Where is the serial number on it? And how do I tell if it's the real thing and how do I contact Chris cole?

I still haven't figured out the proper way to contact him... Their website has a contact email but I have never got a response.

As for the help on here for your zr1 its pretty much non existent, Not enough people have them. I have tried to get help with mine a couple times on here and the people are always wankers about it so I'm ready to just smelt the marker down into a chamber pot since that's just about all its good for.

First guns didn't have a serial number. Since you bought it used you can get a serial number registered to you with a warranty and get updated internals. Just contact Chris at ccole2268@gmail.com and he will take care of you..

Hey everyone! - I have some quick questions. I also have an email into Chris Cole as well, but hoping someone can help me.

I've been looking into a ZR-1, but I am confused and can not find any information on what "new parts" are. I know the 1.5 bolt, but is there new parts in the HPR and LPR as well?
I would really like to know what the parts are that constitute the change in the ZR-1.

I don't see any info on the Zodiac FB page or ZodiacPB.com on it. Only read about it here mostly. (PBN)

Please educate me - I love my Critical Quest and the ZR-1 has intrigued me for a while now. But not seeing spares to buy, or knowing you may buy a counterfeit if you don't buy new and etc has left me with reservations on a purchase.

Hey man,

The new part that is out right now is the bolt. Chris is working on an on/off ASA/reg combo so that eventually you can use any pressure tank on the ZR-1. Currently you shouldn't run anything above a 650psi tank.

Then I wonder why everyone says, and asks, "Does it have the new parts?" Plural?

How do you like your ZR-1 - good shooter? How about oring sizes, easy to keep on hand from McMasterCar or where do you get your spares?

That gives me a little hope I had a Nt11 I just recently got rid of that I loved and had it tuned to perfection. The zr1 is just harder to deal with due to the lack of tech support or customer service from the company compared to Dye.

@ OLD_BALLER - I think they use Dye sized o-rings. So parts should be relatively easy to find. Yea the new on/off asa i'm gonna for sure jump on, not that its needed but for tuning it makes things easier so you dont' have to unscrew your tank every time.

Tried emailing him numerous times. I even emailed him about getting my zr1 updated and didn't get a response. No worries Bill is being a great help!!

The ZR1 is a amazing shooter as most people who purchased one will tell you. Orings are common orings that most everyone should have.

If you have a chance to get one for a decent price, don't hesitate. People are complaining about it not having a on/off but its really not needed. However the new on/off is being tested and the reason for the long wait is because Chris wanted to make the reg/on/off as small as possible which is not that easy. He would have had them done a long time ago if he made them big and heavy like the Relay on the Axes.. New tooless backcaps are also coming soon!
