Whats wrong with my lens?

I was doing some rolling shots and my L lenses were too heavy for my mount so I had to use my Kit (Canon 18-55mm) lens. However, there is some spotting.

In those pics, its evident in the pavement to the right of the car.

I cleaned the lens, front and back, but its still there. This dosent happen with any of my other lenses..

Suggestions?

It might be that there's some dust, or what looks like a hair, inside the lens itself. The kit lens is not weather sealed, so it's entirely possible for something like that to happen.

As for fixing it, the only certain way to clean it would be to have it cleaned by Canon. I doubt using something like a rocket blower would have much effect.

Chances are it is showing up in your lenses just you have been shooting with the other lenses more wide open. Try shooting them stopped down with just the blue sky in the frame at around f/22

Sensor dust, because it didn't move.

If it was in the lens when you changed positions the lens would focus and the elements would move and it'd appear different.

Winner. End of thread.

Rocket blower could possbly help.

and as for the rolling shots.. shoot them at night.. or right before.. better results..
