I do need it?... Otherwise I wouldn't be going to college without paying completely in loans. Because of it, I don't have any loans.

The reason I have so much is because both my stepdad and my dad were unemployed for a good portion of last year. So my pell grant was huge.

And I did/do need it. All my school supplies, tuition, etc.

And then I don't currently have a computer, and I need one for school. Hence why I'm buying one.

So buy a computer spend about 1k on good ultrabook.. not $1.5k on gaming labtop to build another 2k desktop later.

I would get a surface pro 3 perosnally. I have one for work and use it all day in the field. Its great, get a little USB hub if you need one, i have a USB docking station for it at home, and then in hte field its great, take notes, great battery life, good performace.
