Still dealing with personal issues. It has nearly been a year since my wifes infidelity.

Still all ****ed up about it. Have plan, sticking to it. What that entails, come December 16th, things may start on the road to drastic and immediate change.

Been laying low. My work life has amped up hard core. Been working on gazzillion trillion billion bajilllion dollar wind farm project. It's a maze of roads and such up on a swampy piece of high elevation scrubland. This project is going to dominate my life for the next year, I am sure.

I finally have stuff that isn't work to do. Been doing 80-hour weeks for the last month and a half, friggin' crazy. Made time and a half OT for it, though, which was pretty nice. Gonna be going up to WI on business for the next 2 weeks, that ought to be pretty cool.

Ah, the rollercoaster that is contract engineering.

oh hai guise. just decided to say that windows 8 is frustrating. 'bug already knows about my.... issues.

BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IF I CAN'T EVEN INSTALL ANOTHER OS ON A SEPARATE HARD DRIVE WITHOUT IT LOCKING UP...

ok... turns out it was sort of my fault and sort of not. apparently, windows doesn't install a new mbr every time you install it. I happened to have 2 installs of W7 on my computer, one I upgraded to 8. turns out the mbr was on the other drive, which I formatted and installed Linux mint 14 onto.

even better: finally found a W8 iso, get it installed, attempt to activate it, and apparently my key is ONLY GOOD FOR UPGRADES.

now, writing W7 to disc (I have it 2x elsewhere... can't find the damn discs) so I can install it, attempt to validate it with the key I used for the upgrade (probably not going to work) and then upgrade to 8.

wish me luck.

PS - Microsoft is going to get an earful if this doesn't work. i'm already livid about the upgrade only thing.

Not sure about Windows 8, but on previous versions you could clean install the upgrade OS, it would fail to activate if you even tried, but could re-install the OS on top of itself and it would act as an upgrade and let you activate it just fine. Had to do it about 3 weeks ago actually to my wife's computer with the family pack of Windows 7.

ugh, even though i almost never play anymore, for some reason i want a balanced marker. like... a shocker, or a quest... or a Timmy. like a gen 4. no idea why. don't really have the cash, but... i've got that itch...

as of now, i have my mini, ion... and alice in pieces. not that she shot well in the first place. oh and one or two 04 prostocks.

Oh god, my brain just went wild... this ecocker w/ pump kit I bought just sent my brain onto a money spree. I have an 11/16 MQ2, a pm5 UL and a closed bolt uni t board... buy myself a merlin body and I can put together a really nice e cocker...

Of course I'd go raw body, wouldn't ruin a V2 or anything.

Then again, because I have all these parts... I could put together Alice in theory. But I need to redesign the bolt train...

TIME TO BREAK OUT SOLIDWORKS.

OH GOD I need to study & do HW.... but brain... going wild...

Like... 2 litre+, cam drive.... just need a SCM 3 lpr and itd be all balanced regs. Mmmmmmm

Screw studying, man, it's overrated. I damn near aced an exam that I studied for by playing Portal 2, imagine how well you'll do working on mechanical stuff.

it's too bad i'm in electrical engineering then lol.

also - if anyone has any accurate dims of/any spare standard cocker mq valve bodies, let me know. i've got an 11/16th one, but a standard cocker... and frankly, changing an mq pump to semi is much easier than a hammer/valve one
