New to Timmy's...Bought a Dragon 2.5...What should I do to it?

Hey guys...I just bought a Dragon 2.5 and am trying to decide what ups to invest in. It already has Frenzy 127, so what other performance ups should I get? Any input is appreciated.

AKA 2 Liter
Barrel kit(duh)

And it Kind of depends on what other stuff you already have on it.
The AKA 2 Liter is probably the best investment you can make.

After you get your ups, annodize it(dont anno the reg)

I'll say it before someone else does, go buy some paint and shoot it. You don't NEED to buy any parts with that gun. If you like, down the road you can consider a different barrel (depending on what paint you shoot) and a different reg (depending on consistency).

QFT.

The ONLY thing I will ALWAYS have on ANY Marker is a nice 14" barrel because that's the length I have found to be the most all-around versatile.

get a nice barrel and an adjustible ram cap. i would leave the rest of the gun stock. i would never change the torpedo for anouther reg. its consistent and you can service it in 30 seconds.

Thanks guys...I've heard good things about the Eigen ram so I might look into that, but I'm definitely going to shoot it first to see how it runs.

Only other thing I would suggest is a techna trigger, but like most of the others said, go play with the gun first, then see what you want to change. I've had my alias for well over 2 years and it is nearly stock, intimidators are just that good out of the box.

Before you look at upgrading, shoot at least 1-2 cases through your Dragon.

BEFORE you make such integral Mods to your Marker make sure you educate yourself so you know the inner workings of the mod and if they MAY require any additional parts to help get the most out of the upgrade, and learn how it affects performance.

In this case you should be fine since I believe Lurker's Elgenram ships with the lighter Poppet Spring (being that he's n excellent & thorough tech ). This is a key element that for the most part went un-noticed and even you may not have known it was necessary.

Just Looking out for you here.

the incubus: thanks for the info. I didn't know you needed the new poppit spring, but now I do. Guys...don't worry, I am going to shoot it before I do anything to it...I was just curious what you guys would suggest.

I'd suggest paint, buy some paint and go play

then go buy some more paint ya know. The more paint you buy the more you can use your gun

Bob Long's players take your exact gun, put air and a loader on it, and go play XBall with it. You dont need ANYTHING for your gun but paint.

So I'd go to the paintball store and say "hi I have a new gun, I want paint"

You don't NEED a lighter spring, but it may help, I'm using an eigenram in my intimidator with the stock spring and I'm not having any problems whatsoever.

Stock dragon 2.5+ .692 ultralight= nothing else needed. I have some other stuff on/in mine but, its really not necessary, the marker shoots amazing out of the box, anything you add is just to make you be able to "oooh" and "ahhhh" even more

The only upgrades I can suggest are the Eigenram and Hardshell bolt for excellent performance.

Hardshell doesn't make a 2k2 length bolt.

But you're NOT getting ALL the performance out of it. There is a Reason why the Stock Spring is set at a specific tension and why the Ram is a specific weight.

Once you change one, you SHOULD change the other accordingly.
