So, as some of you may know, I've been writing a bunch of posts about Class A statistics. What you might not know is that I've basically been collecting these by hand by myself (usually from the scoreboard but sometimes from the pits for Rutgers games).
I've been collecting them for a while (E3 of last year) and was was thinking about doing it on a more regular basis. Ideally, I would pay two spotters at the next Class A event to ONLY collect stats. If people were willing to provide an additional staff member from their team to call out who was playing we could also do individual player stats.
Here is an example of what I've been collecting (afternoon matches from E1 this year):
As an example, UConn appears to be beasts at laning (they lane people out at almost double the average).
There are some other stats as well e.g.
-odds of getting an elimination in different scenarios
-odds of having one of your players eliminated etc
-individual player stats
So, would you guys be willing to do, say, $100 per team per day (mostly to pay spotters, data entry etc)? Works out to about an extra $20 per person for the two day event coming up.
