Just a hair under 6'1. 170-175 pounds. I eat everything I can get my hands on. The only that stops me eating is money. ha. But i'm not really looking to gain weight either. But i'm always hungry. But sometimes I still loose weight!

I love mine, it's not as stiff or has the big *** tires the newer bikes have but turn in and everything is telepathic.

That's the goal! Right now the drum brake coupled with the really ****ty stock forks makes the front head shake ridiculous amounts at any speed under front braking pressure.

They are ridiculously fun. I see fully setup ones on CL all the time for 7-800.

I've learned the cheap stuff might protect you or it might not. I generally won't wear gloves that do not have hard sliders on the scaphoid/palm.
There is a good bit of plastic missing on the sliders on my rs taichis. I would probably have some damage if I were wearing something cheap.
I'm not saying the cost isn't a rule in determining whether or not it's quality stuff that works, I'm just saying my hands are worth it.
Oh, the gloves I crashed in and ended up with this?

Alpinstars SP-1's (or 2s? Cant remember).

Would better gloves have changed the outcome? Maybe, maybe not. What I can say is, judging by the way I crashed/impacted and the bones that I broke, it would have bettered my odds.

Wear the best **** you can possibly get.

My alpinestars started ripping in almost all the seams the day i got them, and yes they were the right size , will never buy anything from them again i was so disguested that i didnt even return them. In other news the previous owner of my bike was apparently a cheap bastard, he had a gas line being used as a radiator hose, started corroding or whatever from the heat and i saw **** all over my engine and checked it out, what do people think about sometimes.

Took off early today. It was 65°. Took the bike out and rode for about an hour.

In other news.. the guy I told you about that I was helping him and his wife learn to ride. He went back to riding his wife's 250. He rode the 250 for 2 weeks before riding his 650 for a week. Then rode his wife's 250 again and said that for him the 250 was just a lot more fun because it's so easy to ride and he felt so much more confident on it. It's not that he can't handle the 650, actually he was doing quite well on it. But he just felt like he was learning to ride better on the 250.

Hmmmm.. where have I heard that before? But even with him he had to see it for himself to believe it.

A lady Stopped in front of me today at train tracks, in a 45 mph zone, to stop and make sure a train wasn't coming. Out in an open area where you could see for at least a mile in every direction..

As horrible as that is, I see worse on nearly a daily basis all summer. Some of the setups these guys have a downright dangerous.

Amateurs.

These are the kind of stretches that I hate...mine will be stretched serving a purpose with a NORMAL sized tire on stock rim. I hate seeing terrible setups.
