It may be easier at first to get your father to come out with you before your mother. She can come around though. Spark a competitive spirit in your pops, Then get your dad to talk your mom into it after he has a blast.

I haven't succeeded on getting my mom to play yet. Actually, I've played since I was 7 (now 14) and this weekend will be the first time she has ever even watched me play. As for my dad though, we started playing together. He got a free paintball marker and gave it to me as a gift. Then, he borrowed a 98 and we went out and played on an outlaw field some friends had, and we've been addicted ever since. You should try explaining to them why you like the sport and about how much fun it is. It's also great exercise. If they don't want to, try bringing them to the field and let them watch some. Maybe you could get your mom and dad to go against each other 1 vs 1. Might be fun to watch, and since they are both new, they might be more comfortable playing against someone that they know doesn't have any experience.

Well my Dad use to play back when it first started and then quit. But when I got into it he went crazy for it again and he plays with me all the time! As for my mom I do not think she will ever come play.:lol:

if they haven't seen it or been around it much, try and find some of the more appropriate paintball videos. There are some in my opinion that are pretty crude with language etc. so don't show that to your parents.

and just be excited while you watch it with them. hopefully that will be contagious and they'll want to go.

it's best to get your father to play and im always alone playing paintball and wished my father played with me so you should ask nicely and tell him it can work out but hurts in the beginning

Wash the dishes! Clean you room! Make dinner! Give them an incentive to go... it's all about incentives.

When they take you, tell them to watch you. Course, do your chores and be responsible. Ask nicely and let them use your gun for a bit. After a while, they might play. That's how I got my dad in to it.

Same with my dad but he never watched me play though.. My mother has though she turns into a lobster in the sun cause of her meds.. She's my #1 supporter then my girl is my #2

Ask them to watch you play, ask your cousins dads to play with him and yourself

Between me and my neighbor we had 2 of my 3 sisters, my mom my brother in law (he had played in the marines though) my neighbors sister and their dad. We picked a Saturday and said they all need to try it once. They kept asking why I spend so much money on paintball, turns out once you play it and experience how much fun it is the money isn't such a big deal. I have no I idea how I truly convinced them all otherwise, it was like a waterfall, I convinced one so the rest all wanted to go also. Also tell them you will be on their team but then when the red splits you up tell him you aren't with the others so you can shoot your parents and friends.
