I'm looking at Honda XL 500R for $500. Still on the fence though. Next couple of days I'll be thinking about buying it, or putting the money into my Jeep.

drz 400 is an amazing bike. Almost bought an 03ish for $1300, on the way to look at it I got a $450 speeding ticket and needless to say, could no longer afford the bike, but I whooped an 08 hemi charger's *** with my Iroc Camaro

Its an 1982, but I have a limit on what I want to spend. I'm going to take a look at it this week with a buddy of mine who rides, and see what he says.
It'll be a bike I learn on to get my license, improve my riding till I get the cash to buy a nicer bike.

A comparable Kawasaki is about $2,000 cheaper than a Ducati. You're better off buying a 5 year old bike from one of the bigger manufacturers (kawasaki, honda, yamaha, suzuki) as a beginner bike.

not a bad move. i started with an older cbr600 F4. rode it for about a year and then sold it to a friend who learned on it and used it for about a year also. i bought my cbr600rr after i sold it to him, and then after he sold it he bought a zx6r

well, the problem I have with "jokes" that "are obviously jokes" is, they may not be so obvious to someone not as familiar with the subject.
My first bike was an '85 600 Ninja that I picked up for $600 then I moved on to a Yamaha FJ1200, kinda regret getting rid of that, it was nearly mint with only 20k on it.

I'm still deciding on it, but I'm learning towards a locker for the front of my Jeep. I think I'll invest too much money into the bike, then I'll want to be in it. Gonna think it over till tomorrow, and then go from there.

If ur gonna go old, get something old enough to be carbed, old fuel injection systems = nightmare.

Speaking of fix-ups: I just got off the phone with and my gun is fixed. Had to rebuild the LPR and noid, then replace the pneumatic hose and replace the 90* fitting.

Once I pay the man.
Current schedule:
He needs to get back to a computer
send me an invoice
I pay him
then he sends me the gun
EDIT: incoming pictures
EDIT2: The more I look at that LPR, the more it looks like a penis...

Yeah, I'm going to put my money into the Jeep. Front locker. Corner guards. Money put away for a Desert Trip in march.
Nice GZ.
