Raw Video vs. Slo Mo

The paintball industry is surely moving towards more slow motion footage instead of "raw" footage. A lot of new school players from my area (the west coast) have voiced their opinions on slow motion footage as being revolutionary in helping improve shooting forms and bad paintball habits. However, a lot of the old school players from my area still prefer the raw footage in order to help improve the team, not the individual.

With this huge debate taking place in the paintball media industry, what do the members of PbNation prefer? Slo mo or raw?

Note: Not all slow motion footage is shot in burst clips with no sound. The only person in the paintball media industry that is capable to shoot full matches in slow motion is currently Sina Azmoudeh.

I am starting a brand new youtube channel in which I will video blog about being a person who works in the paintball media industry. So be sure to subscribe and follow me for a lot more videos!

So he runs thru the lane, gets hit multiple times, and after that shoots the other player eliminating him...

Speedball makes no sense to me. He clearly ran through the lane figuring by the time they realized he was out, he would get the other guy.

Here I am thinking if you are hit you are out... Silly me.

I think you hit it right on the nose with the pros and cons. The raw footage really helps capture the speed and intensity of a game but the slow-motion really allows the viewer to see every little detail that cant be seen in a raw footage moment. The combination of the two with music playing really gives alot of room to play with when editing a video. Subscribed on youtube!

Slow motion is a way to stretch a 30second video into a 5 min one... I'd rather just watch raw videos

Would prefer raw videos, slow motion does have its place but i wouldn't watch a 10 minute video of just slow motion clips
