I was just wondering who owned the name. Seems like when I started paintball 15 years ago all the big names were doing good and seemed like they weren't going any where. Wondering if those same people would sell the company names and let some other group of business minded people(who also play PB) would revive those same old names that we used to love.

So new people operating under an old trademark.. That's a sure fire way to ruin the reputation of the old company and I truly hope it never happens.
Especially not to KAPP.

The business model in the paintball industry changed after DYE took over the Matrix patent and the Autococker was phased out by the Ego line.
The oligarchs of PB saw an opportunity to integrate their business model vertically ---they capitalized, thus maximizing their bottom-line. Unfortunately that came at a cost to the user-end experience. The DYE and Aardvark ordeal is a good example of how and when the market shifted.
These companies were no longer relevant... and they remain that way unless they somehow jinn-up a new innovative marker and make a miraculous comeback.
Edit: Also, its worth mentioning that companies spend most of their capital on R&D, production, and marketing. It wouldn't make sense for a different company to buy-out the name of an old obscure company that 90% of the market wouldn't even recognize, even if the innovative vision and execution existed.

I don't ride a bike other than the old bmx sitting on the porch, but yea, let's have pics.
I went to the local racing expo today. Next door was the annual Gun and Knife show with a record turnout. All of a sudden people are being shoved into the racing expo and the doors closed and the place locked down. Apparently someone brought a shotgun to the gun show to sell and the guy inspecting it didn't realize it was loaded and shot it, hitting two people. Doesn't appear to be any life threatening injuries, but the gun show is closed for the day.

Genius, I’m all about the 2nd amendment and that big O is a jackass with his whole "Gun Control thing" (except the background checks, but that should have been happening in the first place) but you have to be responsible. There is a reason for you to treat EVERY gun as if it were loaded no matter what. Hell that is rule one for the Navy.

I agree, I do the same with my paintball guns, assume they are aired up with paint in the breech.

First thing I do when I pick up a gun is point it in a safe direction and check the chamber. Even when I'm sure it's empty I'm still mindful of where it's pointing and keep my finger away from the trigger until I'm ready to shoot.
Most ranges and shops I've been to will ask you to remove the bolt, open the chamber or use an empty chamber indicator at all times too. It's pretty ridiculous that things like that would happen.

As everyone should do when handling firearms.
I went to the Ontario Gun Show a week or so ago, and the turnout was insane. 5000 people waiting in line BEFORE the doors opened. The guys in charge were pretty good though. They had people checking any guns going through the doors. Every one was tagged, and had a zip-tie through the action.
