Spyder fenix

What type of board would be the best for a spyder fenix?

I think the only alternative is a Tadao board, but as they are out of business now, staying stock is probably the best bet.

My question for you is why do you want a new board? What are you trying to accomplish?

For me the stock one (if it is working right) is the best one as I don't have to pay money to replace it. It allows me to shoot paint in several modes and gives me no problems.

Seriously, Don't get one for anything 08 or newer. There isn't anything to gain. You see old spyder boards were pretty much crap, so upgrading was needed if you wanted to play hard. Now the one in your fenix is great.

Not to mention, VS boards while plug and play use an LED for mode functions and setting, and really need an M7 chip to get proper use. The virtue board, I haven't seen instock anywhere on the internet. Both of which are no longer being made which means any problems you might have are your own and don't expect much help.

I csn get into specific settings if your curious about one, but most people seem to get boards for full auto or some other crap like that.

Semi-auto is fine and good for generally everything IMO and NPPL. PSP ramping is fine and is what 3bps then 12.5/13bps as long as you can slow roll the trigger. Nobody is wining games from full auto or burst modes go out and just play.

I don't believe the Virtue (universal) board fits, as it doesn't fit my 09 Electra quite right without modding. And, again, I'm not sure if there is any support from them for Spyders anymore.

Also notice that that feedneck comes in individual parts. If you lost the feedneck, collar and screw, then you have to order all three components. I'm not sure if the new bodies are drilled to fit any aftermarket feednecks. I somewhat remember a discussion on this quite a while ago, and don't remember hearing any other brands that fit.

Unscrew the old board. Unplug all of the wires. Lift from the trigger side. Reverse those steps for installation.

As long as its the same setup as an 09 Electra, the LED is visible through the back of the grip.

What if the board doesnt just "drop-in" as in the case of older spyder pilot, any idea of how to rewire the new board?
