Pump play in the NE

Hey guys whats up. Im new to the pump scene (not to paintball) just got back into playing and was wondering if there were any good stores/fields in the Tri State area that were into playing pump?

I loved tourney speedball before and have never even shot a pump gun. However after checking it out online im interested in purchasing an empire sniper and playing pump along with speedball. However I dont want to make the investment without A. actually shooting the gun and B. making sure I will have some people to shoot!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sean

There are two all pump weekends at EMR this year. Check their site, Also the West point combat classic scenario game has a ton of pump players. alot of the guys i roll with use pumps at scenarios. Also i believe the NEPL in boston will be running their NEPL pump divison again. Alot of the local scenario games on the eastern side of NY have a large volume of pump players. ALSO if your up for the drive, there is a good gathering of pump guys at living legends in chicago every year.

I live on Long Island where the pump community is non-existent BUT i love that fact. i just play against semi's. It makes me a better player and it intrigues people because they're always asking people about my gear and the pump scene

MCB has a good community of pump players in NE. The northeast section usually posts a number of games/gatherings going on throughout the year.

Knows what he's talking about.

But the beginning of Winter isn't the best time to go looking for games.
Check around after the snow melts and there will be plenty of pump gatherings listed. Most of those will be private groups playing at either regular fields or outlaw that are looking to share a game with other local pump players.

You will have the annual big pump pandemonium weekend at EMR, nine years running so far & last year they added a second pump game. This year they are going for an all-pump castle conquest game if they can get 200 pre-regs.

Thanks for all the input guys.

Is it safe to assume that most pump play is focused on the scenario aspect and not the tournament play? Seems like all the pump tournaments are north of PA where I live.

Definitely will be checking back here looking for some games in the spring.

Pump can be played anywhere, and probably more places than semi, frankly.

I'd recommend posting in your regional (state) forum for more specific local info. Even non-pump players will likely be able to point you in the right direction.

If you're looking for pump tournaments, most I know of are in MA/NH (gravity league, NEPL). Ones in NJ have popped up (plus PSP NJO) but are not as regular.
