Just confront your parents and ask them how can you make some money around the house. Thats how i make my money. My dad pays for practice every other weekend but i still have to buy my gear and such. If you know a team at your local field and are friends with some of the players, ask them if they can get you a volunteer ref job. (They get to play for free and get a case of paint every day the ref. My friend does this he says thats what he gets) Gas money though? Really?
**edit**
When you work for your money it will also build your own work ethic and help you later in life as well. And idk about you but i get bored of things if you get stuff handed to you. Its like cheating on a video game. Once you have everything you get bored.

The only paintball related thing my parents bought me was a spider victor for Christmas. 4 years later of saving my money JUST for paintball I have a clone, rotor, 48/45 tank and I have my own team.

mine started me off with a setup that I quickly changed, upgraded.... I have paid for everything since, save for birthdays and xmas.
granted, my 19th birthday will be coming up soon, but I've been playing since 2007, spending $2000 on parts, paint and many markers and other stuff. No, I don't play often (nowhere to round here) but I think you're doing just fine. paying for gas is a little extreme though.... though it does teach you how much gas really costs (when u drive an AWD car, you burn thru it even quicker

Just be glad your parents let you play at all. I had to survive at my house for 3 years hiding my gear in a duffel bag and then going to a "Friends house" for the day. Paintball was "An evil activity that teaches people to shoot each other".
Funny, they still roll their eyes when I tell them I just got back from doing a talk show with ESPN about the National College Paintball League. Some people never change.

I pay for everything. Probably due to the fact I also play hockey.
For cash, you are on the biggest pb forum site! And it has a BST Section! Flip Gear on the nation. Its what I do because Im 15 and cant legally work in MN.

try and make a deal with your parents, they buy your gear and you clean up the house.
i have a hard time with my parents if i want a gun or gear i PAY for it. my parents only pay for entry.
but even then im happy they let me play.

My parents said FU** paintball, you can't and won't get a gun because i said so. They'd rather spend more money on crappy rentals. So I don't have that problem haha

Paintball isnt a cheap sport. My kid works alot of hours at a local paintball field, and makes good money. He pays for all of his own guns and gear. But when he plays, I buy a case of paint for him, and I pay for all tournaments and Scenarios we play in together.
The whole paying for gas thing? Thats just bad parenting, LOL.

I pay for everything but paint. Usually my dad and my little brother play with me so my parents pay the $45 for paint. I have never used more than a case in one day. I pay for everything else. I do yard work of any sort and all random jobs that need to be done. I also work at some farm for money. Over the course of a year almost all my money has gone to paintball and I have a Ninja 68/45, a V1 proph, a Ego 10, and a G6r. I get all of my gear used.

i used to play and stopped, my mom got me my first set up (ion) back when i first started. but everything was up to me. but i didnt have to pay for gas which is prettty extreme but if i wanted a ride itd need to be convienvent for her. lol now im starting to get back into it going to school working 35 hours a week for minumum wage. hahaha you learn to really spend your money wisely. and it shows you that you need to work for the things you truly want to do in life. so if you want to play paintball start working and im not talking about a nine to five job im saying odd jobs around the house or neighbors maybe the field or mow some lawns. i did that for a while lol.

I have paid for everything since the day I first played, I don't play much for this reason. I pay for everything in my life, gas, car insurance, paintball money, lift tickets at mountians(unless its a family/school trip). It sucks but it has made me hate not having a lot of money and I am now determined to find a way to do so.
