Threshold Grip frame "PUFF"

So I upped the dwell since this is a new L7 engine bolt with new orings to 16 ms and the gun is firing consistently but the noid is still venting as well so I'm getting some puff from the grip frame. I did notice some side to side play on the solenoid when I was bolting it back so I lined it the best I could. Any sugestions?

the puff is usually out of the vent hole on the sides of the noid. This is normal and essential for operation as long as the gun is still shooting fine (just like you stated)

When aired up, does it have a leak? If not, you are fine.

16ms might be a bit much. After a case you should be able to drop it under 14ms. Maybe 12ms for a few cases and then down to 10 once the orings are worn in.

Appreciate it. only leak I am getting is from my hpr adjustment screw which is intermittent so I need to get to a chrono to find out if when shes tuned up if it will leak at the sweet spot. I have a guy from Ape building me a gen 4 board as we speak so once that shows up I want to get my operating pressure as low as possible. A guy on one of the forums claimed to be at 105psi at a dwell of I want to say 10 but well see. Also anyone have experience dealing with Sleek lube on this gun?

I dislike Sl33k in a big way.

It works...but i have my preferences (Violent PB Jelly, lurker lube, and monkey poo are my top three dow33 based lubes to use on spools).

you can pull the adjustment screw out and clean the oring. There might be a click in the way but once that is out the screw just comes all the way out of the reg without tearing the reg apart.

Make sure to put the screw back in all the way but dont crank it down too tight or you will crush the reg seat. That will set the reg to 0psi

Most people cant get the gun to run that low of a pressure unless they mod the tail of the bolt. The idea is to shorten it a little bit to get it to dump earlier. Theoretically more dwell would do the same thing but ive never actually tried it. I would expect that you need to have a decent underbore to get such a low pressure as well. My stock gun ran at about 160-170psi.
