hurray for normal looking colors. Although a gloss black would have been really nice. Kind of reminds me of the looks of a BL Closer.

That red color looks great. On/Off ASA HUGE win. Looks like the ETHA is going to have a run for its money.

Put a virtue board and a techt bolt in this and it would be a badass little marker.

Forget about the Etha, the Axe will have a run for it's money as well.

Seriously, a case, a more comfortable foregrip, tool-less battery removal, a two piece 15" barrel, AND the option for a barrel kit that works with the existing system? Beats a cardboard box, the bulky front of the Axe, the screw for the battery door, the 12" barrel, and having to shell $200 out to buy a brand new and completely separate barrel kit.

Not disagreeing but not sure what this had to do with the ETHA either.

Don't know about that now. Internally it's still the same Crossover which means the same performance. It just has more toolless features, a venting ASA and the front grip feels more comfortable. Performance of the Axe is competing with current high ends. Don't think the Crossover is quite there yet.

Still it's good to see they fixed some of the issues of it. I'm sure I will be seeing more of them around. Especially with the addition of more colors

Tippmann's second gen crossover is finally getting serious. Welcome to xball! This is a Dorito, that's a snake, and you've got cans and Aztecs too. Center x is at the 50 yard line. You're welcome.

A stock Axe and a stock Crossover are not far apart when it comes to stats, but the perceived difference is there. With most things that will change with time.

Just like how an EGO 11 is better than the EteK 4 right? High ends are just mid ends with extra features. With all these new features and goodies, the axe is gonna need some serious innovation to stay around for long.

What's the difference, if any, between the updated trigger and this one?

As a Crossover owner, it would be cool if they make the upgrades available for purchase separately.

Actually it is. Adjustable solenoid offers improvement in two areas most players seem to be very concerned about; Feel and Sound. However not quite sure why you are bringing PE into this convo. We are talking about the Axe and this updated Crossover. Both mid range markers.

And I don't think the Axe is in any danger of being knocked out by the this.

Especially since the axe is marketed as a speedball marker, and most speedball players are too "prideful" to shoot a tippmann, so that just gives the axe a little bit more of an advantage.

Right, extra features. Does it shoot any faster? no. Does it shoot any more accurate? nope. Is an adjustable solenoid really worth an extra 800 bucks? no. Also, once people realize the Axe's hype is just bandwagoning at it's worst, people will realize hat the crossover is a much nicer choice. My point is that you're just a bit off saying that the axe has high end performance and the crossover doesnt because high ends perform like mid ends, but with extra goodies (IE: adjustable solenoids, OLED screens, and other luxuries)

True. Tippmann's name is synonymous with Woodsball. Most will find it hard to ever see it any different.
Also how many Axe users even shoot truly stock Axe?
