and no they did not stain because they were white, i have retinas (green & black)

i have a few complaints about the visibility of the mask. while it does give a good all around view, the white ring that they used to make it a double pane lens is really distracting. when you look into the direction of the sun the white ring glares up a little bit. i'll try to take a pic.

breath-ability is not as bad as others are making it seem. mask is an incredible fit around the face, but i was under the impression that the ear foam went around your ears. it actually goes on top of it making, for me at least, it harder to hear things. like everything is muffled. maybe my ears are weird.. they seem normal to me

look of the mask is badass. but i am upset that i paid $90 for a mask with that damn white ring.

I love my red/black just got it few days back, I did custom paint on the outer ring with white, outlining the lens. Nice original metallic red frame But I do not like the original paint quality, it sucks.., while doing tape masking some area just chipped off on the masking tape....seems that the original plastic base is a shinny surface which any paint will not fused well on... SLY shud improve on this by molding with matt surface plastic frame instead..

sad when looking to my unused profit paint chipped before any game......

if your paint is chipping off, contact SLY right away.......they will replace it for u.
most of the mask with paint chipping off n lens with white line are the 1st gen/batch
the 2nd batch wont have any of the problems....

my mask manufacturing was dated 2010 Fed, thats whats it says inside the lower frame at the my nose is facing (middle saying 10 centre arrow pointing 2), thats the date of manufacturing right?

hahahahasdfhaspdfiuwpef (i'm hilarious)............ alright tard. at some point you may be on a field layout that has the sun in your face. it will actually not be uncommon. so that's why i would be staring in the direction of the sun.

I'd like to know the cut off date between the "gens", and what exactly they changed. Obviously the paint chips less, or not at all - but exactly why?

not sure bout the cut dates but the changes are;
1. no more paint chipping
2. the lens have a new 'glue' that sticks the two panes together. (no more water goin into the lens, some lens has that problem)
3. new mask bag material...more smoother...

Mine dont have paint chips the dont get water in the lens and they have a nice black ring not white ring. I love mine a ton.

Just bought some new black profits on Sunday. Haven't got to play with them yet but they seem awesome. Does the thick ears make hearing quite a bit harder than average?

IMO no difference in the hearing....

I got bored. And my mask chipped so I felt like doing something with it. Its alot easier to paint them if you have the ones that dont chip then the preperation time is alot less as in almost 0
