I would just like to say that the joke account I created NoSphereHere was just banned for BOS. I am not BOS. You should actually check these things before profiling based on username. I mean, it even says that it's not Sphere.

Making imitation usernames is also not allowed for this very reason.

Nowhere in the TOS does it say that I cannot make joke usernames. It just says that I cannot impersonate any other user. I certainly did not impersonate Sphere as I said specifically that it was not Sphere.

Then you need to make it a rule in the TOS that says "You may not create usernames that has any remote similarity to any other user's." Until then, I believe that my NoSphereHere username should be unbanned.

It's actually spelled out in the FAQ already.

Please do not choose a username that could potentially be offensive in any way to other users. If you do create a username that is offensive, you may lose your account once a moderator notices it. Please do not create a username that mimics another user or is even a close approximation of another user. This is especially true with local players or banned users. Anything potentially racist will make you instantly unwelcome on the site. Names of a sexual nature are not appropriate since we allow kids as young as 13 to create accounts. If your username is inappropriate in any way, it will be banned and you will lose everything associated with that username.

It also says in the FAQ that I agreed to the TOS when I joined the site. I did not agree to the FAQs. If you want a rule that is in the FAQ to be enforceable, the it should be in the TOS as well. I would also like to add that it does not say in the TOS that I am required to visit the forum FAQ for more rules. If I don't have any questions about the site, then why should I visit the site FAQ?

If you want to argue semantics:

Additionally, every single issue that might possible arise would be impossible to address within these guidelines. Therefore, just because a certain issue isn't raised here, doesn't mean it will be allowed (or disallowed, for that matter) within the Community.

If you type in "username" into the FAQ the paragraph John listed is right on there so I would hardly say it is an obscure spot.
