The prize packages are based on a percentage of the entry fee's. I am no Steven Hawking, but if the entry fees are going up so must the prize packages.

what dont you and the guy above me understand about this simple math problem? The prizes are based off of a PERCENTAGE OF THE ENTRY FEES. This means that if the ENTRY GOES UP 11% THE PRIZE PACKAGE WILL GO UP.......11%

Ah shawn savage. You were the one that posted on propaintball that the entry fees have gone up 25% this year. This is also a false rumor. Entry fees have gone up around 10% this year, and for what you get out of the entire deal (better refs, nets, poles, turf, ranking system, player stats, etc.) that's not a huge jump.

1850 entry last year + 10% ($185) = 2035 which =/= 2300

1850 entry last year + 25% (462.5) = 2312.5

So I falsely rumored $12.50

They went something like 24.5%

I am paying to play and I defend NPPL in almost all arguments but I am certainly within my right to complain about an increase like that

where did you get 1850? i payed d2 last year and the price was 2300. this year it is 2600. that's about an 11-12 percent increase.

from what i remember d3 was 2100 and now 2300 which is around 10 percent higher.

i remember the entry for d3 being around 1900 for hb, but im pretty sure it went up to around 2100 after that. if im wrong i appologize, but im almost positive it was that price.

Even at 1900 to 2300. Hopefully it does not go up after HB like you said it did last year.

Either way, I'm playing HB. Either way, I still support NPPL and the format. It's just becoming a much tougher argument to those we are trying to convert. 7 man in Texas is 100% dead. There is no interest in it and there are approximately 0 teams that will play it. We are trying to change that but it's getting harder and harder with each new change this year.

So because entry goes up, prize package goes up? Interesting because PSP had it the other way around. Raise prices and lower prize package, by creating a new division for one year(semi pro) Then after a year get rid of the division but keep entry the same price. So no just because your entry fee goes up doesnt mean your prize package goes up.

Irregardless if prizes are based on a % of how many teams enter. POST THE %!! You open registration but still havent posted prizes.

likely it'll stay same as last year, but honestly if you're in it for the money you're playing for the wrong reasons.

Doesnt make sense to keep dumping money into something if you cant even get to play the next event for less than the first after placing. So no I domt play for the wrong reasons.
