yeah i am jelly.
Tore into the old nerve today.and gave here a fresh lube job. Suprised I still remember how to do that after a 1 year of doing nothing but shooting it. Did it in 1 try to. Just need to replace the wire harness from upper to lower board so the eyes will work again.

That blows, you check it for damage? if you want you can ship it to me and I can check that out for you.
I am gonna need a new upper board very shortly as I have severe damage from over tightning screws, but so far I still havent destroyed the connection.

idk if its the new tadao board i put in it or the upper board, I chopped a bunch of paint when i first put the tadao board in it. It got paint everywhere so i think i may have shorted the upperboard by it, however i wonder if the tadao board is just kinda buggy. idk

Beyond the initial chopping - which may just mean that the eye delay setting needs adjusting - what problems have you been having that might suggest the upper board needs changing, or that the main board is bad?
Crap, I'm talking about Nerves in the off topic forum.....

No Bigs Uziel.... you don't have to follow the rules. You're to cool to be hindered by them.
BTW.... you like the Etha it seems?

Honestly? If price is no object, I'd obviously suggest an Ego11 or Geo2 depending on whether your preference was for poppets or spool valves. There's absolutely no arguments that those are the better markers in Planet's stable..... Talk about stating the obvious..... They do cost three times as much after all! However, for what the Etha is, and what it costs, I really have no complaints. Well, if I had to mention one thing, it would be that the one I have is pretty loud compared to the quieter low pressure markers out there.
It has a sort of vibration as it cycles, much like the original Geos, but there is no kick to really talk of, no muzzle rise - it's easy to keep on target in rapid fire. The trigger is smooth - not bearing smooth, but better than the (more expensive) Etek3 trigger set up. Not to mention that over the Etek3, you get the Shaft4 style barrel and SL3 reg. Board function is very similar to that of the Etek3, but easier to programme. The single screw grips scales are a nice touch, and the ASA turns nice and easily - not had any leaking issues with the ASA, which is a problem I sometimes encounter with well used Planet test markers. I've broken one ball, and that turned out to be due to bolt stick, due to incorrect maintenance (I was asked to use the marker without referring to the manual, and greased something I shouldn't). Absolutely no bolt stick since cleaning the unwanted grease out. Beyond that, I've had no reliability issues so far.
I'm getting 1000 shots from a 68CI tank filled to approx. 4300-4400psi, with around 1000psi remaining. I've then shot 300 or so after that before feeling that the velocity was dropping and getting some drop off in rapid fire. I hear that some people's efficiency findings are matching mine (Vicious49 for one), whereas some people are stating more. Bore fit will have an effect there no doubt, the exact set velocity, and presumably just how low you are willing to let the velocity drop before refilling.
On the whole, I think it makes a good tournament starter, and a good lower mid range marker all round. Basically, it gets the job done, with - so far - no issues whatsoever.

Um for my gun, lemme tell you the story.
It worked fine for the longest time until this spring when I went to the paintball field for the first time. I chopped like 5 balls or more in a row and it went down the eye ribbon and into the upper board. This was the first time I used the M7 Tadao board on it. Then when I got back i cleaned just the basic stuff and not the board because i assumed at the time it didnt have paint on it. when i woke up the gun was on for some reason. I assumed I left it on. then it happened again during the day. So i took it apart cleaned it the best i could but idk if its just that little glitch on the m7 boards or what. I think what i really need to do is get a couple 9 volts and shoot it with both boards and see if it turns off on me(it turns off randomly too) and leave it overnight with both boards and see what happens, if the same thing happens with the two boards then ill know that its the upper board for sure. Also my upperboard is the one you cant take apart from the solenoid.

humphrey noid then. Unless you have screw damage on the upper board the relays should be sealed in resin protecting them from paint/water. I know when I last used my nerve (about 2 weeks ago) I chopped just about every ball I shot. After cleaning it I have no problems with shooting so far.

Funnily enough, while the boards are moisture proofed, and certainly contact with paint shouldn't be an issue if it is wiped off promptly, I have been told that if paint is left on the board for long enough it can actually dissolve the conformal coating that moisture proofs the board. I don't know if that is the case with all conformal coatings, or just certain types, but it does mean that there is at least a possibility that the upper board has been damaged by moisture.
