Ready for a new gun. Etha? Any thoughts?

Right now, im working with a stock Empire Mini that has been completely reliable for the past 3 years. I also have an Empire Sniper pump, and a Worr Karnivor pump. Lately ive just been window shopping for new stuff and I kind of want a new gun. The Planet Eclipse Etha has caught my eye cause its an intermediate gun with the qualities of Planet eclipse. Plus, it has the EMC kit to go scenario if you wanted which I would enjoy very much. Anybody got any reviews for the gun or another marker that is of equivalent quality if not better but around the same price range as the etha?

Pretty slick for 400 bucks I would say https://www.planeteclipse.com/site/p...l_markers/etha. I personally never owned one though..seems like they only come in black color

The Etha is a solid marker and it does come in more colors then just black. Me personally would tell you to just look into some used Axes. You can get them for pretty cheap and they will preform great after tuning. Look around and you're sure to find a deal.

I'm currently shooting an Etha as my main marker, and I love it. I upgraded from an Ion, so it really was a pretty big upgrade. In colder weather, it can be a little rough on paint, and when you chop, it is almost guaranteed to chop again and again until you take out the bolt and completely clean it (just cleaning the barrel doesn't help much, the bolt has to stay dry). Kick wise, my Etha has a little bit of kick, but it isn't enough to throw off your shots (take into account, my Etha is not broken in yet, I only have about 3 cases through it at this point). The trigger was a little stiff out of the box, but after adjusting it a little bit, and sitting on the couch watching TV the night I got it and just fingering the trigger for like 3 hours, it loosened up a lot. The board is super easy to program, I sat down with the manual and memorized it in about 10 minutes. I've heard that the Etha is picky on battery voltages, but I have not used it enough to experience any problems with it. As for efficiency, I only go fill up my air maybe 2-3 times in a day, and that's if I'm shooting like crazy. I was torn between an Axe and an Etha, buy I chose the Etha for Planet's warranty, plus there is nothing better than opening the box of a brand new gun. Just my $.02

I've heard mixed reviews about the Etha, and everything I've heard about the Axe has been good. I don't own either, but I would go with the Axe, just because it seems like its a very good marker based on what people are telling me.

I got the Etha. Ive had the mini for a really long time and the Axe isnt much different from the mini. Just body style, and the on/off ASA. The Etha has a better board in my opinion, very simple to control I already found out. I set up the board within 15 minutes of opening it after looking through the manual. Plus, I can get the EMC kit since I do enjoy playing a lot of scenario games at CPX or Skirmish if Im not feeling speedball or hyperball.

Go on trademygun.com, there's a Bob Long marq 7 for 350, or a bunch of axes.

This is from a Guy who has never owned an etha. From what I've seen-solid gun!. A video on YouTube of a guy throwing down his gravel road and into a creek, then fires it without a problem, so reliability is definitely there. Unless you do not like "sloppy-seconds" its not a bad idea to look into the used market. Many egos/geos for cheap and around the same price as a new etha. Can't go wrong with an axe either, but its pretty much the same as a mini

If this happens virtue makes a nice oled board. I only owned an etha for a few months, but it didn't happen to me.

An Axe is not the same as a mini

Do some research before making that assumption because they look the same.

I've owned both, and the axe is noticeably smoother. Has one of the best stock triggers on the market.

Think about maintenance of the gun, look for a simple gun to maintain. ETHAS seem fairly basic. Ego is another solid gun and maintenantce is as easy as it gets. All of PE guns are reliable, so good choice!
