GoggedPB.com has actually received reports on this. There are WCPPL teams that were given discounts to entice them to compete in the event after the registration deadline was closed.

even though there isnt 24 teams in d2 or d3 they should take 16 to sunday.
i say this because it might bring in some more revenue to the paint sponsors of the league because more team would play more games = more paint being shot

If that's the case...then all teams should make it to Sunday! Imagine the $$$ they'd bring in on paint alone! also teams that stay an extra night in a hotel/motel, or have to reschedule their flights, or even the extra gas they have to pay to make an extra trip on Sunday, if they are local, would stimulate the California's economy...the country's economy!

There actually is still an issue. How many teams besides pro's and a few lower divisional teams have paint sponsorships through a manufacturer? Store sponsorships don't qualify.
