BE Pocket Hopper Speed-Feed Mod

I know this isnt the hopper forum but since it is us pumpers that use them I figured it should go here......Anyway I did this because I dont have 10 round feeds and dont want to buy some seeing as I also dont have a harness for them (or money).

I started with a regular BE pocket hopper and ripped off the lid. I took a sharp point (knife not advised) and poked a small hole where I wanted the flaps to go through. I then took a small flathead screwdriver (or staking type tool) and enlarged the whole into a rectangular shape big enough for a small ziptie to go through. I then put the ziptie through from the inside out and went in a circle to latch it so that the flaps would be arching outward. i did that as many times as needed (6 for me). Then I held the base of where the ziptie starts so that the end would be where I wanted and hot glued the base of the ziptie to the hopper. Once you do that to all the flaps, you're done.

NOTE: the flaps will be stiff so you'll have to bend them back and forth to to soften them. Must use the 4 in. x 1/8 in. (ish) for this to work properly.

And now for the finished pics....

Why don't you just cut a hole on the hopper lid for 10 round tubes, if that is what your using it for. Anyways, still a very nice job, very clean.

Not very original...

Used only w/ 10 round tubes because they are too stiff to bend under the weight of 50 balls

My goal was to use with PODS....not 10 round tubes....(like I've said 3 times)....so it's still original

Lets be realistic here, i've seen "speed feed" pocket sized hoppers aside from yours and the thread starters. And pumpenstian(sp?) used speed feeds on thier hoppers [althugh actual sized]. Difference is the materials used and his "design" if you will of the fingers i found original and usual. Otherwise homebrewed speedfeed's on hoppers pretty much lost any originalty.
