For those "upgrading" to the Shockwave board, I actually just bought my LE Ice Axe a week ago from Action Village and it happened to come with an old Optimus board. I was disappointed because all new Axes are supposed to be coming with the new Shockwave boards, but I can only assume I got an old Optimus because the Ice was a limited run.

Long story short, I emailed KEE support and let them know of the situation, they agreed to send out a free Shockwave as soon as they were available. Might be worth a shot to anyone else who recently purchased an Axe and was disappointed to find an Optimus board inside.

Do they make colored accent kits for the Axe yet? On that note, can you use the Mini accent kit in the Axe?

I feel like color swap threads are just annoying because you'll always have different amounts of wear on the bolt guide. This may not be bothersome to certain people, but would be to me knowing I'm not getting the equal end in the trade.

That's a great question. I don't think it would be possible though... the Mini/Axe bolt guides are different (Minis have screws to hold it in, Axe's have that little pin). I'm not 100% about this though... I have no Axe to compare it with atm. Also, the Axes are larger so the body, air transfer plate, or trigger frame might not be transferrable.

Can somebody double check for me?

Can you add the ACiD Custom C/F triggers, these will increase you BPS and make off hand shooting easier and a more balanced feel to the marker

You can't interchange the transfer plates. The boards are different (microswitch vs hall), so they're milled out differently. Same with the bolt guide.

I recently bought a mini and it had the optimus board in it, when I e-mailed kee about getting the Shockwave board. They replied with " We are sorry but we don't send out free upgrades. If the board was damaged it would be covered under warranty"

Well, you must have purchased an older model Mini. It could have been sitting on the store shelf for six or seven months. Sorry to hear about that. Every new v3 Mini out of the factory does come with a Shockwave board.

I was just letting you know because in your thread you posted that if you e-mailed kee they would send out a new one.. it's not the case.. he didnt ask me for model or any information regarding my mini.. Just simply said no..

If you have a reasoning for swapping out boards then they will gladly replace the broken or defective unit with a new one. They will not just send you a board because you want one. Otherwise people would just ask for them and resell them or abuse their gratitude.
