4th Annual

NOOBY TOURNAMENT
Sunday - July 20, 2008

3 man NPPL/XPSL format

Please note: This tournament is for NEW players only. It is designed to give these players a chance to actually play and compete against other players of equal caliber. Please do not try to "Stack the deck / put in a ringer" or any of the other games to win. This tournament is to give NEW players a chance to play against other new players to gain some tournament experience and to win with players of equal caliber. Any player or team entering a player that is deeemed by the Ultimate Ref to have a player who does not qualify as a "Noob" shall be disqualified from playing or wining any prizes. No refunds will be given to any team /player who is disqualified. If you are in doubt - get prior approval of your team or player
Qualifying Rules:

Qualification is based on the PLAYER - not on the team.
* Player may not have played in any tournament outside of Las Vegas or Pahrump's Tournaments more than once. EVER
( PSP/XPSL/NPPL/BEARS CUP/ etc)
* Any player who has played on a team where that team played in ANY tournament anywhere -
and came in 5th place or higher - may not enter this tournament.
* The Ultimate Ref has the sole right to exclude any player that he feels is simply not qualified as a noobie.

Entry Fee: $$100./ 3 man team.
Entry deadline is July 16th - 8pm.

FIELD PAINT ONLY.
Day of tournament - paint will be standard field paint prices in effect at that time.
( Paint prices will NOT be raised for this event).
Paint paid at time of paid entry will be have a discount of 10%.

Prizes:
1st place: 30% of all entry fees paid
2nd place: 20% of all entry fees paid
3rd place: 10% of all entry fees paid
prizes will be paid out upon conclusion of the event.



Other rules:
* Teams may have up to 4 men/women on their rosters.
* NPPL rules with field exceptions - posted at Pahrumppaintball.com no less than 4 days before the tournament.
* No ramping, no full auto,
* all players and spectators must have current insurance waiver forms on file. ( new forms required as of 3/1/08)
* It is suggested that all players under age 18 bring a new insurance waiver form signed by parent to the event so as to eliminate any possible problems.

All team rosters must be submitted with team entry form. Teams and their players will posted prior to the start of the Captain's meeting. 3 man teams may have 4 players on their rosters. Teams may not change the rosters after games have begun. All changes to team rosters after entry date must be approved by office prior to game start. All exceptions to these rules must be approved by tournament directors.

Pahrump Paintball reserves the right to not accept any particular team or player to enter.

Forms may be faxed, mailed or emailed in but must be received by the deadline.

We accept MasterCard and Visa. ( There is a 5% credit card fee added) If you are paying by credit card and want to add paint... please be sure to put on your entry form that entire amount you wish to authorize us to charge. ( if you do not add in the 5% - we will) email us that you are authorizing us to charge your card with that amount.

If you are sending in your form with a check or money order, please email us to say that you are mailing in the form and check.
If you email back your form, and still send a check, it will allow us to confirm faster.

Pahrump has been called and asked about the qualifcations for NOOB tourney - The question was if Pahrump was going to change the qualifications for the "NOOB" staus because of the changes in the upcoming Bonehead Tournament.

The ultimate ref just got back to me and said "NO" - the rules and the prizes are set - that is what was posted two months ago and that is what stands. they are:

1. Player may not have played in any tournament outside of Las Vegas or Pahrump's Tournaments more than once. EVER
( PSP/XPSL/NPPL/BEARS CUP/ etc)

2. Any player who has played on a team where that team played in ANY tournament anywhere -
and came in higher than 5th place - may not enter this tournament.

3. The Ultimate Ref has the sole right to exclude any player that he feels is simply not qualified as a noobie.

This is a NEW PLAYERS only tournament. Designed to give NEW players a fair opportunity to win and to actually play a game and not get wiped out within 3 seconds by the more seasoned players. We cannot change the rules at this point merely because Bonehead changed the rules of their tournament.
