Possible Alaskan Team?!

Hey Guys,

So a little about me. I am currently in Denver finishing up college, and have been out of the sport for roughly 2 years now. I am originally from Alaska, and am looking to get back into paintball now that I will have a job that will support it and am headed back to Alaska after graduation to start said job.

I have played PSP format in Denver, and after looking around WCPPL looks affordable as well as close for regional league. I have talked to a few of my old buddies, and sounds like we might be able to put together a team for one of the later tournaments (September).

Anyone have some advice? Devision to play, number of games to expect, average costs on paint during play, etc. Maybe a better forum section to ask these questions? Ha.

All thoughts and conversation is welcome and appreciated.
Thanks,
swens9oh7

your appa ranking will tell you what division to play. Paint is pretty cheap, price changes depedning on whose selling at the event. Your division will deteremine the number of games your going to play. With a normal draw you will play at least 4 matches, with the number of points in a match determined by division.

d4 = race 3
d3 = race 4
d2= race 5

this man pretty much summed it all up for you. WCPPL is the league to play man. hope to see you there.

I haven't played anything under APPA, so no ranking there. We will see where we are financially when time comes as a team, and probably play d4 or d3. Is there a significant difference in talent between the three divisions?

Thanks for the replies!

recommend D4 initially go from there, less money.. easier to get an idea of the league. shoot less paint, less points, and entry is cheaper. plus D4 is a good gateway division if your team is relatively new to the X-ball race to format

Competition is strong in both divisions. Start with D4 and if you just roll through, play D3 the next event.

I know I found it before, but forgot where. Anyone want to direct me to where the schedule of events are?

Thanks, that link works perfectly. I could see what I needed too without a login.

Next question, any recommendations on a hotel/part of town to stay in?
