Well it's what happens when you don't follow safety instructions.

ouch reading this whole thing is making my eyes hurt, but achually this is really sad and i feel very bad for the guy. i wish i knew how old he was thats the only detail he left out. but this is a must read makes u realize how real it is. some newbs seem to think that its like a video game and u cant really get hurt. i think all new players should be forced to read this before they buy a gun or go to a field, that way when the get their eyes shot out we dont have to feel as bad. hey just an after thought what would u rather hav, "your eye shot out and going blind" or "getting shot in the nuts and having them removed" i think i rather take the nuts shot just cause i rather see than hav kids. but i wouldnt be stupid enough to take off my mask so if 1 of them were to happen to me i think it would be the nut shot anyway.

don't post if your going to say something stupid.

I have a personal experience w/ an almost eye injury.

When i started playing paintball about 4 years ago, i was playing in the woods. I thoughti was hit in the mask, so i took it off and checked it for paint. Very dumb decision. This was maybe the 3rd or 4th time i ever played. Another player shot a few shots toward me and thump!, one hits me close to my eye, so near that i thoughti was actually hit in the eye and i kept it closed. The weird part about it, was that i didn't feel it at all, i felt no pain whatsoever. I eventually found that the ball had struck me right below my left eye. I had a bruise and it swelled i ould see the swelling out of my eye, if the ball was any higher i may have had the same experience that this player had.

In conclusion, i have always worn my mask from then on and i'm very strict about safety. Barrel condoms on, even when i play in the woods.
