ah well i had bought a nyx when i thought i had seen yours gone to another. and then i bought a toxic but was in just in too bad of condition to keep.

does help that we do live in California though haha. i love sushi, you have to know what to order at times, but as long as it doesnt have tobiko im good.

one of the sushi places close to me gets local stuff too, the other week they had a special on bass rolls, sooooo good.

its just a different taste haha. i didnt think i would like it at first but then i slowly worked my way into it and i would probly choose a good sushi restaurant over mexican and many others. italian food is a hard one thanks to a local place here that opened up about 2 years ago where they are actually from Italy and serve the most amazingly fresh and tasty pastas.

Last time I had sushi, my friends convinced me to try some super spicy type or roll thing. I took a bite, mouth was on fire, took a big gulp of water. What I didn't know is my friend had dumped a bunch of salt into my water glass when I wasn't looking.

Kind of ruined sushi for me.

try for some of the cooked things they can sometime be a better bridge to get used to it.

my favorites are a Lion King roll, which is sushi underneath but with a seared tuna on top with a sweet sauce. comes out hot (not spicy, but heat type hot haha) that. sometimes places offer deep fried rolls which are really good. it took me a couple gos to find stuff i really really liked and now i would prefer it over most other food haha. and its good for people on diets, but order it with brown rice instead.

Eating sushi is like those crazy people who insist on Starbucks. I suppose it makes them feel included in a special club when they talk about it.

Starbucks is good, but I don't go very often and want to punch most people who go there regularly in the nose when I hear them complain about gas prices after they pay $5 for a cup of coffee.

Starbucks has a cult following, for sure. But I've never heard something so ridiculous as putting sushi (a type of food) in the same category as a brand name.
