Since they believe that the paintball community is a bunch of terrorist nut jobs, lets show them how we help people with our sport.
This person was a victim of the shooting spree in Colorado and is uninsured.
Not only is he in ICU, his wife gave birth to their baby boy in the very same hospital just days after the shooting.
Lets show the media what we have done for 3 decades, lets show them how we raise money for those in need, for the sick and helpless. Lets throw an event to help the victims of the shooting, heck event a series of events.
Please spread the word! I posted this on the Inside Edition FB page to help get the word out.

I posted that and I'm extreamly happy to know someone saw that. Youre right we've proven countless times in 30 years how we support the families and members of our community. Its horrible to see the celebritization of a murderer yet the real world problems of the victims are shoved away. I had a 3000 hospital bill early this year and that killed me financially, the fact a victim of a shooting spree has to pay something like this with hardly any media coverage on him doesnt just show how ruthless and greedy the MSM is, but it really points out the failing healthcare system in this country.

Also does the smoke grenade even match any of the ones that are made for paintball? Or did he make his own?

Both of the last shooters were killed by bystanders that were carrying, before they could take many innocent lives. The last massacre in colorado, (columbine), and the shooting at VA Tech were in zones where it was illegal to have a gun even with a CCW. Im not saying that I'm 100% sure things would have been different if the movie goers were allowed to carry, but it should be their right to protect themselves. The news should be attacking Cinemark for infringing on its Customers rights and creating a massacre out of a potentially avoidable event. Lets face it, someone willing to commit murder, isn't going to be too worried about breaking a few laws regarding where its legal to carry a weapon.

Well i dont know how Colorado does it but but do they just have signs on the door restriciting guns on the premises? I know in Texas we have 30.06 signs for restrictions in some places but most places you can carry. I have a CHL and was carrying that night because you never know...

I already posted this in another thread about this terrible "news media report", I quoted this because I think inside edition and other media outlets like them do nothing slant and distort the truth to sensationalize to the mass media. Anyway here is my original rant:
This video post is typical media trying to latch onto anything to sell its story to the general public and find rhyme or reason as to why someone would do such a terrible thing.
I'm sorry inside edition, paintball didn't make him this way, nor did watching Batman films or any other television or movies for that matter. This was the case of one sick individual who plotted and executed a fiendish plan on innocent victims. He used whatever tools he had at his disposal to cause as much harm and hurt as he could.
Here is an idea why not debate the idea that nobody needs an assault rifle regardless of what the second amendment states(I know I may get flak for saying this and perhaps being Canadian I can't understand how fundamentally important it is) but nobody needs an assault rifle to protect themselves or to hunt. Assault rifles are simply a tool used to kill people, that is what they are designed for and typically what they are used for.
As for the donations to the victims, helping ones fellow man/woman in a time of need is always a great thing to do.
Just my 2cents. My hopes and prayers go out to the victims of this senseless crime!

the ref demonstrating how to use the smoke grenade is an idiot; they don't "ignite". the whole reason certain smoke grenades are used on paintball fields is because they're non-pyrotechnic and therefore pose no fire threat.

Wasn't it just last year or something. TX had finally made it a law that you couldnt carry a 6-shooter in a bank any more?
I thought i read that somewhere.

I agree with everyone saying we need to put together a memorial tournament.
I made that comment on facebook on the PBNATION post. I am pretty sure that if we were to put this together, both leagues and all the different sponsors would get behind us 100%.

Sensational media reporting at it's best.
Some sort of fundraiser or tournament would be a good idea if someone wanted to step up and make it happen.

Inside Edition got their 5 minutes of fame for their misguided story. I think crazy orange hair should be outlawed.
