They need a MW event and a Florida event, an event in the NW and then it will prolly be the farthest reaching paintball series, if they get one in Canada then it will be more far reaching

I would get Florida/North or South Carolina (huge paintball scene) Upper east coast (good for vendors)

I would hold off on the MW...The MW is regionally dominated by 5man and xball format.

Why not have five events spread throughout

1. Huntington Beach (Southwest)
2. Miami/Jacksonville (Southeast)
3. Hartford (Northeast)
4. Seattle/Portland (Northwest)
5. Kansas City/St. Louis (Centerpoint)

Then why call it the United States Paintball League? I do believe the United States is a nation. I was just disappointed with so many big name pro-teams how could it not have events across the nation? I understand it is new but look at the teams hell look at Houston. They wanted an event but it was taken away from us again.

I think the one of the reasons for 4 California events has something to do with weather. It's very rare that we get unplayable weather conditions over here. NPPL Houston's cancellation kind of sped up the NPPL's demise I'm sure. And that isn't the first time something like that has happened. I'm sure next year they will spread out better but for the first year they are probably playing it safe.

I also think this because of a Facefull article by Rich Telford I once read. I'm not saying his article has anything to do with this, but it was about how he thought USA professional paintball events should be held in California only because of weather, I thought it was a dumb article for the most part, but just saying.

I highly doubt it's the main reason or anything, but just throwing that out there.

i beleave he was just praising the west coast for its weather. its true, there is always good playing weather over there. i think chicago needs and even for sure. instead of houston i think it should be further south. padre island maby?? i liked the atmosphere around there better. somewhere on the gulf would be ideal. i also want to see an even on the southen east coast. i dont see why that wouldnt work. the weather is amazing and the people are there all summer. i think thats what made HB so epic every year. just seeing all the other people not there for painball just become involved in the event. paintball needs to get more out in the open. i love seeing events held at local feilds but no one other then paintball players will be there. put an even in downtown chi and it would be soo amazing. hell, rent one of the millions of warehouses and have a freaking showdown in one. give it that underground yet exposed feel and people will pour in. ive been to ufc fights, partys, hell even RC car races in those warehouses. it just brings people in.

I'm pretty sure the events are based in California because they know Cali is a huge hot spot for 7 man. Once the league starts gaining support and teams, they are going to expand into a real national series.

i would assume that travel and other logistics in its inital season are more of a factor than the teams locations...

Every location has its pro's & con's. Look at Cali with earthquakes. the Northeast with rain/sleet/snow & smog. look at the midwest with tornadoes. what about World Cup in florida? They have hurricanes & floods, alot of the times worse than texas.

Dont single out one location.

so long as you arent having events in winter or early spring, i dont see why the northeast is an issue... plan east coast events such as nc and florida after hurrican season... pretty easy, there are other sports that have it figured out...

those earthquakes are killers lol i saw a graph that listed the safest states in the union and california was very close to the top, it seems as though flooding, cold snaps and storm kill the most people,,, although ike washed out texas last year

Earthquake + Paintball = Intense!

lol but seriously, I'm not saying California is perfect, but even if an earthquake happens the chances that it would be a noticeable one enough to even pose any type of danger is very very slim. The ground is vibrating my water, ahhh!

Now fires on the other hand..........lol
