Thumbs up Question For the AT guys

Ok so im gonna join an AT division for next years ok D-Day, and i had a question about making an AT weapon. As D-Day rules state that a american boozka can not be bigger than 2" in diameter and look the part but in my reasearch i found that the M9 Bazooka fired a round that was 2.36" in diameter. So what im saying is that a 2.5" pipe is ezier to fit a maker in then a 2" pipe and i was wondering what u guys did and if it would be ok if i used a 2.5" pipe rather then a 2" pipe. Any feed back would be helpful.

The rules are very specific and my advice is to follow them. However, you can contact anyone that posted in the Allied AT recruiting thread and they can get you a definitive answer.

Send me a PM or email and we can talk about this but the rules are 2 inch pipe. But as I said send me a message and we can talk through some options that are available.

I am the CO for the American Anti-tank unit = 899th TDB the Black Cats, btw.

2 inch equals less PVC then 2.5. That means less weight. I've done three Bazookas and trust me, the less weight you can get away with the better. And it inst difficult in the least to use 2 inch pipe for the bazookas.

Beatle would be the man to talk with about getting the latest specs. However I still don't believe there are any better authorities on tank bustin' than my crew. My XO Edwin was the high killer with 17 in DD'05, myself with 15 and my son tied the top German AT'r with 13. We were and still are the only AT group to ever stop Bill Bailey and his tank corp.... not just once but twice.
As for construction materials I recommend ABS rather than PVC, it's much lighter. I've even heard of guys using "Pringles" canisters for an ultra-lite body. But I like ASB best, it's light and takes abuse. You might also want to look into building a PIAT or M1A1, they're the smallest & lighest Allied launchers.
