Plus the paintball marker wont have enough kick to launch a Nerf. It be nice. Do a rifle grenade type deal.

Yeah, I don't think too many fields would be keen on the idea of a real firearm.. or players for that matter.. me included.

"OOPS! I could've SWORN those were blanks" is not something you want to hear.

It would be cool to set up a marker that could do that resembling a Panzerfaust.

Umm... yea. I would not want someone with a real rifle on the field with me. Even without bullets, blanks can do serious harm at close range. If you know of a field that would allow that, let me know so I never go there.

I remember at the West Point spring games last year the refs were walking around shooting blanks all around the field

they are trained military Personnel. I imagine they used the blank firing adapters on their weapons

Sir, I can see possibilities with this type of launcher. However, since the mechanism to fire this thing is from a real gun. I dont think many fields will allow it. Your not getting much positive feed back here. Which should of told you by now this launcher will not get the reviews or ravs you are looking for. Then again if we all take this in another direction just for one minute. If someone has modified a marker that allows them to shoot pepper balls, reballs, marbles, and other known round objects. Then who's to say that your launcher is less or more safe then a normal marker. Granted with your launcher you or someone could get in a really bad mood one day and actually load a bullet and fire a round or two. I am assuming no one has modified a marker yet to shoot a bullet. Prime example a few years ago there was a large civil war re-inactment going in Md or Pa. I forget now the exact location. Someone shot a mini ball and some guy got hit on the opposing side. I dont recall the whole story at the moment. Also didnt Bruce Lee's son Brandon die from a gun on stage that was suppose to have a blank in it. Just a few highlights. I am not saying that you have any intent to load anything into you launcher beside a blank. I gun going off makes a much different sound then a marker or other type launcher. Someone said earlier the refs fire blanks at a West Point Field. I have never been there and havent ever seen this on any fields I have been to in my 25 yrs of playing paintball. If a ref fired a blank near me I would leave the field and go to the field managers office and protest in some mannor. Do yourself a favor and save alot of time and effort. Remove your tennis ball contraption from this gun and mount it on something else that paintball fields will allow. Good luck with your launcher development.
