I think it uses the same internals as a regular piranha. If so, get a high flow valve(use the stock valve pin if you can). Then get the hardest valve spring you can find, and the softest main spring. With this set up my fish I can get 36 good shots per 12g and re-cock 44 times. And get a pipe front if you want.

I dont see why people go down on the ION so much. Its a great marker and is hella better than any piranha ever made. And get a boss bolt for it if itll fit

the only thing plastic on an ion is the shell of which you can just buy a new one that's aluminum if it bothers you that much...

The guy starts out asking a simple question, all be it there are not many ups for the USP. You pin heads start flaming him for having a USP, he states he also has a ION, you flame more. If you don't have anything to add to a conversation you really should just shut up. I know that most of the ION users we see on the forums are imature spoiled pains in the butts but please don't put yourselves into that same mold.

Well, I don't have a USP yet, and I almost have enough for my ION, but thanks guys for backing me up.

And for everyone else, 10 mods were too much, I'll cut it down to 3. Me and my friends do like CS:S scenarios and i dont wanna waste 300-400 bucks on an m4 look-a-like, so yea...

Hate to say Jason but I am not exactly backing your point either. When you come back with a point like that you sound just as ignorant as the ION flamers. If you could just leave that the ION is a fine gun for what you pay, I would be with you. Once the insults start than you are no better than the others. I personally would take a stock EVO over a stock ION. If you have plenty of money to dump into the ION and make it your own creation, that's great it does have alot of potential. As far as stock goes the EVO is more reliable and is backed by the best company in paintball. The ION some are OK out of the box but a lot need some work. Smart Parts is at the bottom of the list as far as customer support in my book.

The only two people in this thread who should be here are:

"My gun is better then yours"..............so.

My Pimp with respect is better then Piranha's............so.

I have been shot by the cheapest of markers in my time. And what do I do...... I walk off the field with my PIMP in hand. Do I cuse the cheaper marker? NO. Why? Because it just shot me out. Paintballs work the same way in a $100 USP and a $600 Pimp.

Come On. I own three Piranha's, a Pimp, and a mech cocker. Neither suck because they all have their place in my style of playing. Doesn't mean someone can't come to the airball field and clean house with a Piranha or mech cocker though.

Ion's are for those who want Ion's. Would I buy one, no. Would I buy a Shocker, yes, for the right price. Does that make the Shocker better? No.

At least he says he is saving up for it. How many here bought their Piranha? Maybe all, maybe none. I did. Bought all 3 of mine, including the cocker, and Pimp. I respect someone who works for what they buy a lot more then someone who pulls at the parents pocket book.

Enough of that.

As far as upgrades, should be able to use any Piranha internal upgrade. Boss could say for sure.

You asked about Pipe tips. They are all the same. You could buy an Ultra tip or a Stiff tip or the regular one everyone has. Doesn't matter.

Things I have done to my 3 USPs

1. upgrade grips- rubber wrap around 45s make it comfy
2. oil lots of gun oil
3. Pipe tip green to black fade 16" tip
4. Stiffi tip
5. rear velocity adjuster
6. rubber band, nut, eframe = uzi or soup depending on the day
7. 3.5 ounce tank mounted horizontally
8. A good holster
9. double trigger frame off old piranha
10. quick disconnect 12 gram from a PT extreme0
