Only problem now is setting up a board. The A1 board's solenoid output won't drive the LCD solenoid. A PMR board can probably be rigged up in the A1 frame though, just like with the older guns. You can use the the cross beam in the middle of the frame for the microswitch mount. Be a good option since you don't have to worry about eyes. I think sledneck and another guy in the B/S/T are both making nylon/plastic mounts for the older guns - you might want to contact one of them and see if they can rig something up.

i did that for a guy in Canada back in 2010.

- totally grinded off the half-*** dremel'ed rails so the buyer can use a rail
- had to grind some material away at the front of the frame to go around the flash tank manifold
- looks like the frame-to-body holes lined up without needing modification
- and i think the valve retaining pin hole lined up without needing modification

anyways... the request was just to mod it to fit an LCD frame. did it, took pics, and sent it off.

I guess i should dig through my emails and find out what the buyer winded up doing.

I could fashion mounts for a pmr mod easily. Makes me want to find a black frame for my cobra now.

Nice. I was wondering why the pics had a 2010 date on them, but I figured you just changed your camera batteries and hadn't reset it or something.

Very nice. Trigger frame retrofits are always cool.

Has anyone ever mounted a Shoebox Shocker HSW frame onto an angel?

Would the A1 board drive a speed 04 solenoid?

04 yes, but you have to make sure it's a legit 04 with the 3 volt solenoid coil. The original 2003 Speed used an IR3 solenoid and suffered from shootdown issues because the 4.8v battery wouldn't properly drive it. Most of those either got replaced or upgraded over the years though, so you should be good.

i had one of the 5v noids in my 03 speed. Only had FSDO. was so annoying. did everything i could to try to get rid of the fsdo... finally gave up and bought a 3v noid. no more FSDO! grrrr....

the noid should have the voltage printed on it. unfortunately, that surface is facing the wall on the other side of the rotobreach. so you will have to unclamp the noid and take it out. then go through the whole regrease, realign, blahlbhalbah to re-install the noid.

Getting the G7 board into the A1 frame will be a feat. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any A1 boards that use a 5v solenoid pulse though.

No problem boss: you know I make mounts. This is not going to be as challenging as I thought.
