Ok I just got my first Tipx yesterday, but paint in and a cartage.. I wanted to see how many shots I could get from 1 cartage, so I shot 2 mags, then loaded a 3rd but only got maybe 5 good shots...

I did not chrono so I don't know if its shooting hot, but I would like to find out what kind of shot count others are getting..

is the average 20?

Yep that about right. That's why the ZetaMags are so great. Use up one ZetaMag and change your CO2.

Although, some claim to get more shots I found fps drops after 20 +/- shots.

You should be able to get about 25 shots at roughly 250-260 fps I'd say

I will be running my tipx with a remote line and my old ninja 48/3000

I just sold my tipx recently but when I had it, I loved using it with a remote.

And here's my advice along the road in case you ever think about it later

Don't turn your tipx into a cmp... Rifle mod.. anything.
Keep the tipx as a secondary.

I built the most bad *** tipx that looked like a cmp.. had rails.. red dot.. stock thru butt stock... The whole nine yards and then some.

I hated it. It was too big for a secondary and not enough ammo as a primary for my taste.

So
Don't go looking at awesome mods on Google for a tipx and tell yourself you have to have it,
Unless you plan on playing mag fed only games against other players that play mag fed only.

Ps I remember zetamags being difficult to use the manual release with gloves on. I would get half finger gloves if you get those mags.

Looks cool but im not using it really for paintball...

at most im thinking a laser pointer for the wife... im going to get her some pepper balls.. there have been a hand full of home invasions by idiots in the neighbor hood so she wanted something, plus we have 2 small dogs while our next door neighbor has 2 pinchers that get loose now and then... she wants to shoot them next time they are in our lawn...

so most likely a Contour and laser are all that is going on it...

I do not like the zeta mag design... I don't want to flip my mag after 10 shots.... I would rather load a mag, shot 20 shots, swap a mag and shoot 20 more shots...

Oh and if redesigning a mag gets me an A in machine drafting, ill do whatever the hell I want...

40 would be to long of a mag.... your talking probably 2.5' (29") of mag...
where zeta's are probably in the 15" range..

if I redesign im going to try to keep it at 15" maybe 14"

If you could design a 20 rd mag that tapers the feed to the bolt chaser so you dont have to flip your mag please let me know. I would be highly interested. Only obstacle I would see is getting the rounds to feed alternately from each channel. Thinking maybe like a spring-reactive flip plate or somethin idk sounds like somethn to tinker with

Ok, I have a question. I have a TPX, going to install the gunhead first strike adapter in it. Will it also shoot 68 cal paint balls. Could you also stagger F/S round and 68 CAL in a zetamag and shoot them?
