dm11 and dm12 questions

im stuck deciding between a dm11 or dm12. the factors that are going to help me determine which one i want to get, most would consider minuscule but will help me decide. thanks in advance for any insight given.

first off i was wondering if one feels longer or in fact has more space inbetween the grip frame and regulator. secondly is one wider around the backcap area than the other? this last questions cant really be measured that well but does one seem to balance weight better?...im pretty sure that the dm11 is actually a tiny bit lighter

i know it seems pointless to most but any comparison pictures would be awesome.

ps. i heard a rumor that the dm11 was more reliable. people have said that it has had less hiccups by a noticable margin. i kinda doubt this but just curious

thanks again for any help

honestly man they are almost identical

seeing that you can get dm11's for 550 now i would go with that, save the couple hundred dollars

The only difference is the milling (windows and sleeve on bolt) and the front grip on the hyper3 and the lack of 45 degree fitting on the hyper 3 on the 11.

Oh, and the toolless bolt on the 12. I guess there's a few differences after all.

Get the 12. It's a better gun out of the box just feature-wise. There's NO difference in reliability with all other factors being equal (same maintenance, not beat to hell, etc).

I've owned both. I prefer the 12 to the 11 any day.

I had a kid looking for a 12 and I found him a cheap 9. He is happy because it shoots the same and he had extra cash for paint and other gear.

Hey to answer your questions yes the DM12 is wider at the top of the body where the bolt goes. Also the 12 LOOKS taller to me when compared but I've never measured to confirm this.

I bought myself a DM11, added the 12 angled reg adapter, 12 reg sleeve, and some Virtue eyes and couldn't be happier.
