I would not say they are "basically" spiders. They being based on spiders like rap4 and original milsig markers possibly, however when I disassembled my tgr2 mk1 (still need to get the mk2 internals...) for cleaning after I used it for the first time back in May of last year. It felt more Like i was working on an A5 or X7 mechanical. So i think it is based on spider or a5 design but has evolved into something else entirely.
