yeah im pretty sure that one was run by people with no tournament experience. The Williston, Dickinson, and Bismarck ones were run very well for it being the first time. I couldn't make the minot one so im not sure how it was run. If you have any questions pm Land_Shark. hes the one that will most likely be running them next year. I believe they are all gonna be 5 man next year too..

the minot one was run awsome they had some issues about teams being ready but o well they had 2 chronos befor you got on the field and it had to be checked befor you could play. the refs were pretty good they had the head ref who was an awome guy. the refs were calling people out on bounces but it was pretty good overall.

ya as far as next year goes more air is gunna be needed. i know at the williston tourny we brought our own compressed air and if we wouldnt of we wouldnt of had enuff to play

the nation guard is not allowed to charge money because it is a government organization and these tournies are for promotional purposes

it did have a chrono but one big issue is making sure people are ready we walked on the field 3 times before we finaly got to play our first game and then we had to immediately play the second because everyone was done with thier second game

same problem at the minot but the refs were good about it and gave us time for air and paint between games but people were not ready when it was their turn to go play.

The one thing that I try to do is help these guys at their tourneys but some are just stubborn (Like 4 man tourneys and they set the field to small in Williston and Minot).

It was a lot of OTJ learning for the refs. The Dickinson tourneys (Battle for the Badlands & Sapper Classic)we pretty much have the same guys and they are getting better.

when I am the head ref I am kinda an ARSE but I want everyone to be safe and have fun. The chrono is a big sticking point with me because I've been lit up by a hot gun and it sucks.

In Minot there was a lot of confusion but all-in-all the tourney turned out OK. I wish we could give out better stuff but the government has rules about what we can and can't do. I tried to get some co-sponsors but that got shot down. What we need is a shop that will set the field, get the refs and and the prizes (even if it means charging and entrance fee). The National Guard will supply the bunkers, marketing and some of the free stuff!

but for now, I just like getting everyone together and having a good day of paintball.

Some of you teams should have traveled with us this summer and played the I-29 series. It was fun and we learned a lot.

Realistically, I think you guys need to appreciate these tournaments for what they are.

FREE.

Run by the NG. They are only going to do them as a promotional deal and will never have competent refs or proper infrastructure. By their inherrent design they will always be on the ghetto side.

This is fine if you are able to recognize them as such and enjoy them for what they really are.

They are set up for kids in jeans and camo running around with Tippmans and Spyders. Not for dickheads dropping clips on everything and everyone. The latter should travel a bit and play an organized tournament or two.

the reason they r not byop is because they have a very nice bunkers set that is only 1 year old and they dont want cheap wal-mart paint to stain them up
