what's the limit to how fast your tank can go?

The quad tank is definitely the fastest of the three, easily capable of 45 mph, but field rules only allow 5-10 mph depending on the field you are on. All three are more than able to accomplish this speed.

with tanks (except when I am making Ed run like a child chasing the ice cream truck) speed is not usually a factor. Main guns, reload time, and the accuracy of your gunner are the big ones. Of course getting the drop on the other tanker helps a great deal also.

As Darth says,.... getting position on the enemy tank is far more important than overall speed since there are field speed limits for safety......Tanks that can manuever and turn on a dime will generally have an advantage in getting you a chance to fire off the first shot at an enemy tank , especially in urban type terrain between buildings.....Of course its up to your gunner to make sure he hits his target because you usually only get one shot before an enemy tank returns fire.
