I'm really hoping to just break even next season at each event. Would rather have just enough teams or a vendor that can cover my travel costs entirely and have some fun instead of being so damn tired each night that all I want to do is pound Gatorade and pass out at 11pm.

DC was the most fun i've had at an event. While i loved shooting with you guys at cup, that **** was A LOT of work.
at DC i booked enough teams to cover my already low over head and just chilled for a weekend. it was awesome. Some of the best shots i've ever taken were from that event and i really think its because it was a zero pressure scenario.

Conceptually, Cup was solid. But yeah, it was a lot of ****ing work.
There were a lot of kinks that needed to be worked out. Like letting teams request a specific photographer which ****ed the schedule and rotation entirely.

hmmmm. Blown highlights in my photos . . . which there are . . . but :sigh:
That's why so many people avoid this area of PBN....they get butt hurt over honest critique which can truly do nothing but benefit them...
But anyways, looking for some critique. I don't usually do any black and whites, but kind of liked the way this turned out. I hate that the bunker covers some of the barrel, but yea....Any opinions?

I'm fortunate and thankful that if I ever get back into shooting paintball, which I fully intend, I'll be covered at every event I go to. I'm with Ali, low stress can help produce some great images. Some of my best stuff came from Vegas 2011 and I only had one team to worry about.

i like the shot personally, but i feel like it falls a little flat. not really seeing a lot of rich blacks and bright whites. everything kind of falls in the middle.
also, i like shots that show something happening past a bunker. it makes the shot look more candid which appeals to me for some reason, almost makes it feel like you aren't necessarily supposed to be taking the shot. hard to put into words why i enjoy shots that have that element, and candid might not be the right word, but it makes the shot more interesting IMO.
I'm going to try to be Skip Hickey next week and shoot some hockey with my buddy's MF camera he's letting me borrow again.
EDIT: Gary's been a member for a while, he was one of the first people we "added". The original group is from Mike all the way to Adolfo.

Just shoot with a mf all the time... only can promise 16 images a game though.
As far as paintball photography goes, I'll likely step out to a field here and there when I get to California. No idea how much I'll actually go, but it'll be at least once.
apparently my facebook wont let me post comments on my own status.
i've always joked around that my "friends on the internet" are better than my friends in person. it seems pretty silly to a lot of people, but it's the truth. and it keeps proving itself time and time again. i can't even begin to describe the feeling, but it feels ****ing awesome to know that people that (most of which) i've never met before are willing to go out of their way to help someone they met through an internet forum.
seriously, i will find a way to pay back every single one of you in some way, shape, or form.
edit- Chris, hurry up and post my my print on your wall! that makes me feel like a million dollars just to know people want my work on display on their wall.
