DM12 vs Geo 3 vs Luxe 1.5

So im in the market for buying a new gun, efficiency is a big plus to me and so is smoothness. But low maintance helps too, anyway these are the 3 guns im thinking about getting maybe even a geo 2.1 so any help you guys can give me would be great.

Probly gonna buy new just so i know i have no issues with the gun.

Well all 3 are spools and all will have similar efficiency. Luxe is probably smoothest followed by dm12 and geo3 in a tie. Geo3 will probably win in efficiency considering brand new people are getting 8 1/2 pods to 9 pods. Then dm12 then luxe. It's definitely a personal preference at that point. Shoot them all and decide for yourself. Good luck

I have no experience with the geo3, but I really like DM12s. They are supper smooth, quiet and pretty efficient.

As an aside, why are you not looking into the Clone GT? It is the best gun on the market right now IMO.

If I were you then I'd go with the clone gt. Super smooth, awesomely quiet, stunningly efficient and crazy comfortable. Again, I have no experience with the geo3 but I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe it can compete with the clone.

MD guns shoot nice but never had a ton of luck with their CS. There are some great guys in the MD community who are very helpful, but they need paid CS guys.

DM12 - DM's are fantastic gats but you need to know how to tune them to really make them sing (dwell 21-22 ms with LPR set as low as possible without shootdown at high ROF). Smooth and gentle on paint. T

Geo3 - No one here has shot one yet. Geo2 shoots nice but not as smooth as the Luxe or DM12. Geo2 was slightly less efficient than DM or Luxe.

Luxe - My favorite high end. Smooth, quiet, super gentle on paint and extremely good CS. Also has the best ergonomic in paintball IMO.

Geo 3 is the best gun out there. I shot all the others but this one wins it all

I agree that the clone gtI will win in all categories. Between these 3 though, this would be my breakdown. I have owned the luxe 1.5 and dm12 and used my teammates geo3 in a tournament, so I am going off of that.

Efficiency: I would give it a tie between the luxe and geo3. I was able to carry 7 pods and a hopper with both and could have easily gotten another pod if needed. The Dm I was scraping to get 7 pods and a hopper. All with. 68 4500 lp tank.

Smoothness: for me, it was between the luxe and the Dm. Since the Dm had the lpr, it was easy to balance. I would still say the luxe was slightly smoother.

Maintenance: all should be maintained after each day of play. Cleaned and lubed. The Dm will be the most temperamental if you aren't familiar with how to set the regs. The luxe will be next. The geo can take a beating and just keep on going.

Other things to consider: all have great cs and come with great barrels, so no need to upgrade those. The geo has the best board. For some things that may need to be replaced, the geo uses the rubber detents, luxe uses sprung Delrin, the the. Dm has the eyepipe. Luxe has a rechargeable battery.

Maybe we should ask him which Marker he went with back in July of 2012.
