Geo 2 vs. Axe vs. G6r
Title says it all. Considering buying a new axe or a used g6r/geo 2. i hate egos, and most of PE, but i see lots of people shooting geos now a days. And i like both axes amd g6rs from using the botb of them. And please dont start the whole spool vs poppet vs inline poppet preaching in this thread, im not an idiot-_- BUT ANY HELP WOULD BE NICE ON THE GUNS

So what exactly is it you want to know then? I would pick the g6r of those listed.

For myself, it'd be G6R, then Axe, then Geo2. Actually, my shopping list kind of looks like that, other than the Geo2, which doesn't interest me in the slightest. I'm a big fan of Bob's guns, but I also love what Simon and the KEE crew have done with the Axe platform.

Of those three I would pick the Axe to play back/mid or the Geo2 to play front. The G6R gets great air but too flaky for me.

I love all of bobs products, and empire has done a great job with the axe. But out of those chosen, my team and i play lots of scenario @ EMR pball park, but then agan, we play as many speedball tournaments and things as we can.. When we arent broke.lol. Just lookong for a happy meduim for between the two. Im not a big fan of stacked tube guns on a speeball field tho, but i loke them while playing in the wpods. I guess its just a little OCD of mine.

ive owned a 2012 g6r. excellent gun, but mabey a little to perfect for me. i cant explain. just leaves something to be desired to me. ive also owned a geo 2 and my wife has an axe. i loved loved loved the geo 2. to each his own. spool vs poppit. but when i shot my wifes tuned axe i was like wtf. how can a mid level gun be this awesome. so im going to be using an axe pro next season.

I would go g6r>geo>axe g6r's are fantastic guns u can't go wrong with it. There just awesome. Geo there eh but better then the 2 axes I had they both had solenoid issues and just were a hassle. Plus blast has way better cs, talking to kee was a pain.

the axe is like/ or actually is a high end gun of its own, but to aim towards mid level price range in my opinion. the save on cost buy the barrel and no oled on regular axe. but the gun itself is more efficent than a geo 2 (being an inline poppit) and gets the same or just under the efficency of an ego 11 (which ive owned also) . but if you really want tons of efficency, then get the g6r. its untouchable in that aspect. but for me, i dont care about that. so long as i can shoot 9-10 pods a point, im set. but back to the axe being high end ish... the gun itself has a simple bolt, easy to maintain and tune. shoots stupid brittle paint, tuned with boss bolt has little to no barrel rise and is quiet. shoots 9-10 pods. has good on off asa. and a great tooless bolt!
the axe pro (redline grip) better barrel , boss bolt and tunes - i enjoy it better than my g6r and geo 2. mabey its the way is feels. i dunno. i use the front grip extender and has the stretch of the luxe.

??? In what way is the G6R flaky??? Some players don't care for the pressure tester thing but once you get it down it takes about 5 minutes and in around 15k rounds the consistency of my 2012 has been miles ahead of any of my old Egos or Geos.
The Axe is an awesome marker, if a little small for my tastes, and I would put it a close second on my list of these 3.
Personally I wouldn't even consider a Geo 2.1 or older. PE didn't get the unbalanced spool design even marginally as smooth as it could be till the 3.0. So if I had to have a spool and a Geo I would ask for cash for the Holidays and save up for the 3.0. But really I'd be saving for a Luxe or Clone GT.

Shoot them all for a day, you'll know why. I've owned them all, right out of the box, the geo2 and axe can't come close to competing with the g6r. It's smooth efficient and light, what else could you want? That being said, they're all good options.

ive owned all three
G6r - great on air, felt smooth to me kinda loud. Only negative is i didnt like the way it felt in my hands
Axe - have owned 3 or 4 of them. Only thing i did to mine was a the boss and infamous bolt. Had different ones in different axes. Felt great with the bolt. Definitely a smooth shot. Mine was great on air. Easy to maintain. Felt good in my hands. I will probably buy another one soon.
Geo2 - I own 2 of them now. Absolutely love them. They do like air though, but i do not play in the woods that much, so i can always have enough air to last me through a point. Have not really tested the efficiency due to our fields compressor being a POS. Love the way it feels in my hand. Smooth shot and relatively quiet. Not Dm quiet but quieter than my G6r or any of my egos.
These are all my personal opinions
