Welcome back! No big updates on the body yet. But Bob did stop by my desk on Thursday and show me somethong he just made on his CNC and said my body will be next up! I didnt want to mention anything incase something came up, but it sounds like he will be starting to build a jig and doing the programming shortly.
I just got back into work after travel and being sick and found out my machinist was in a serious car accident late last week. His health and well being is my first concern and this milling project will be put on hold until he is back on his feet. Once that happens, I will talk to him and see if he is still interested in doing it, but not until he is back on his feet.
I would like to apologize to all who were looking to get their bodies milled. This will add some time to the already extended time line.
I will continue to develop trays and have them 3d printed to ensure fitment. Depending on cost, I may get a body and set of eyes printed as well just to hold the design and see it in person. The trays will be made specifically to my design, but can easily be adapted to different body millings. I imagine the only thing that may change is the width and any aesthetic features. More to come on Sunday
