I'm not a huge fan of the look myself, but it's not bad either, and it's not exactly like the others that look similar for the same reasons. Short of reinventing the wheel just to change the look there are only so many ways you can modify the general outline of a stacked tube design and this is one of the most asthetically pleasing profiles possible, and thus one of the most popular.

I care less about the look and more about the function, and I really like what I've read.

One nice thing is due to the design of the gun, with the split body, various different bodies can be ran without much change in the setup. So we can have some custom short runs that have different bodies for not much more of a markup.

I have talked to some other designers (like L x) about doing their own bespoke bodies.

But we understand it just won't be the right gun for some people, and we really won't do the hard sell to pretend it is. We will have plenty of customers who will love the gun.

I am curious though, what don't you like specifically? Layout? Size? Cosmetics or egonomics? I can understand giving the cosmetics a pass, but we feel the ergonomics are spot on, or as well as they can be for a stacked tube.

I was not in love with the look either at first, but it grew on me. Then again I care more about the tech going into the marker then anything else.

Definitely. External looks can be changed with PL guns, etc. The guts are what is important, and J4 looks to be hitting this one out of the park.

For me, the part I don't much like is the whole profile. It's not specific to this marker, I don't like it in any of the other brands out there either. The scallop at the back of the upper tube is what bugs me the most. Unfortunately that's kind of a default design aspect that is tough to change without some major downsides. I'm not so bothered by it that I'd prefer the hassles of enclosing that area, though maybe a shroud type setup that changed the outline but left it open to easily remove the bolt...

In other regards I like this much better than most of the markers out there. I dislike the typical PE style adjustment cone in front of the foregrip. I dislike the blocky stacked tube designs we sometimes see as alternatives. I get bored with the styling of single tube poppets and all the flashy colors in the world don't change that.

I know, I'm a picky SOB. lol
To steal from the ad, In a world of compromises, sometimes you just have to set your priorities and make your choice. I go for tech and reliable performance over straight looks.

If the markers are very close to being completed then there will be photos soon, and soon after shooting vids and a review for sure, I know I will be writing one up as soon as I get mine! Been eagerly awaiting this one since PBE this year.

Same here. Once the markers are finished, they'll be tested for a bit and then whammo; world domination!

Like you FP, i've been excited since it was announced. When I get mine, I plan on taking it to events / games and let people try it. I already got a bunch of people lining up to try it out!
