He could be saying after sponsors pony up, thats what the team has left to pay.

Don't be so critical.

The team still pays the same as everyone else, regardless of where the money comes from.

I have no idea what PSP does and does not insure. But, if *I* were PSP, I wouldn't be surprised if I found it cheaper to just replace storm damaged items like that than to keep them insured for storm damage.

With that logic I would think it is cheaper to buy them per event w/insurance then to actually own and maintain them.

How many storms, resulting in damaged goods has the PSP encountered in lets say, the past 6 years? Maybe 2? I could be wrong, maybe 4?

I think ownership is far less than renting given the highly unlikely situation that things will get destroyed. Plus, the PSP has alot of custom tents that they utilize that renting won't afford them.

It can be done if you're tight on money!!!!

For real though, I will need much more than $50 for food, even at NEO which is 1 day less than Chitown.

I need $10/day just for beer!!!!!!
Also, if you're staying at a hotel like most people do, then you get free breakfast. Then don't eat lunch at the event, and wait for a good dinner, then you're paying even less.

But yah, most "food" money goes towards the beer!

Its all in the interpretation of what he's saying.

If the "sponsors", ie, the financial helpers, pay the bulk of it, the "team", ie, the players, pay the difference.

But yeah, I see what you're saying, all "Teams", ie, the registered entity, pay the same, but it ultimately goes back to the interpretation.

Beer is food in a sense. I mean, it has a daily nutritional value doesn't it?? And it has a caloric value right?

yea...last time i checked theres a place called a grocery store. what i did was went and bought a loaf of bread and lunch meat and made samiches. maybe get some chips or something. its ALOT cheaper than buying food at the event/eating out/fast food.

and yes. beer is (at least what i call) liquid bread.
