Grillz saved my life (pic)

Had an accident whilst working at a paintball site. An explosion destroyed the top of a building. A 6 inch nail hit the peak of my Grillz. The nail lodged an inch into my skull and when I pulled it out the spurting blood made a fellow marshall vomit in to their mask. Which would have been awesome had I not been a bit freaked out at the time.

If my Grillz had not have deflected the nail - I'd not be here today.

I know of many marines that wear paintball masks in country to deflect shrapnel and rocks from explosions they also help in sand storms. before you all go crazy flaming this post. i'm not saying paintball masks are grenade proof but a small low velocity projectile that would normally cause a small injury will be deflected. glad you're ok though. is everyone else alright?
