The meeting was not Web casted because it was for the owners of the NPPL and not the public. I want to start off and tell everyone that the NPPL is in for a BIG year. Just so everyone knows the format will stay the same for the Division teams but may change for the pros. There were some minor rule changes that will be updates in the rule book by the first of the year. For example yellow will be the protected color this year. One major rule change will be that we will be going to a capped semi auto at 15 balls per second. This will help with catching cheater guns if they still exist. I am traveling for the next day so I will post more when I get home.

It still takes skill to get 15bps, especially while running .. its not like they're adding ramping

notice its still SEMI

Thanks for not doing the "Best of" for divisional play.. scheduling can be a nightmare & having to play more games just makes it more expensive for teams. Round robin for the win!

Yes it is still semi, but it does indeed take a whole skill away from the game when you take away the uncapped semi. There are alot of back (some others) players especially in pro that can hit speeds of 20 balls per second or even higher.

The rof cap will add to the skill level. Instead of railing your gun in the lane to stop the move you will actually have to have a little more skill to hit them with less balls. IMO

I would say very few can do it legit. Guys on my team could do 17-18bps. 2-3bps wont make much difference in the game.

I like the comment on center flag it will make the game alittle different. FLAG PULL gets points and teams needing points might pull sick moves!! CENTER FLAG FOR THE WIN

Yeah!!

Let's go a step further, put the flag on the snake side, with a bit of open space and let's see more snake battles. Let's get the fans into it.

2 Flags is archaic.

2-3 Bps will always make a difference, just an example looking at X-ball see how much of a difference it was when they went from 15.4 to 13.3? The pace of the game changed completely. Every ball counts...everyone in paintball should know that. Just like when someone gets bounced once or twice going out to a corner, in that same second two or three more balls could of made the difference in that person being eliminated or that person winning that "game/match/point/tournament" for his/her team.

I know a few people who can (please note i said a few, not everyone. i know and not everyone around me...just a few).

Even with everything I said I think the 15BPS Cap is cool to a sense and a good idea. Saves money for players, saves money for the paint vendors...saves money in general...or I think that's the idea they are going for anyways?

Oh and just skimming through here some more, I also like the idea of a center flag. It gives a focal point for people/spectators to concentrate on...it makes people push forward to reach for that flag. Possibly a point system as well for grabbing the flag first? To give it that "umph" we need. At this point I'm just ranting haha.

ROF Cap

I like the ROF cap!
It opens the game up a lot.
More people can make their bunkers.
You might have to use a little skill to win a game rather than only dominating the fire fights.

Maybe some old guys like me can actually make a come back.

Frank - you might be able to play another year or two.

The PSP just introduced some major changes to the game, and the NPPL tweaked some minor rules.

Interesting.
