Sanjay i have a couple questions
1. If our previous account still has a one time unban from previously buying ASM can we use that to unban our account (i.e. Tacobueno)
i cant remeber if i used it or not but i dont think i did before it was permd
2. If we forgot our old password how can we sign in for amnesty and/or recover our password
thanks.

At least the new guy has a sense of humor. 
I could see this being helpful if they get their account back with the feedback ratings and join date. Some people may have moved on already though.

I'll be one to say that I'm okay with this whole idea. There's another forum I'm on where the initial membership costs $10, and that does a pretty good job of keeping out spammers and other such riff raff, so I see this as being comparable to that model. Whether or not PbN makes money off of this, or whether they even intended to, is of basically no consequence to me. They're a business, as stated.
And I guess the join date is important to some people. I wouldn't really know, I mainly post in the scenario section, where half the content is posted by people who know each other personally.

Just to be clear: PbNation is a private message board owned by someone, as we all know. They can easily decide who is allowed on and who isn't. They are, in no way, encroaching on your "right to express your thoughts" on any piece of public property or your own property.
It costs money to run this site. I am assuming it costs a LOT of money because of the amount of traffic PbN gets and that bandwidth isn't cheap. Therefore, PbN is not a "free society." It's a club on private property that you need a membership for.
I have no judgement, however, as to you as a person or member on here nor your techniques for circumventing their ban. Just pointing out that "free speech" doesn't necessarily apply to private property. |
